About this audiobook

A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh-this could be the start of a thriving friendship.

Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived . . .

Well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the Bright Future.

When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends. Theo's ex economics tutor and newest roommate Mr. Jamie Cooper seems to be a possible and convenient match. Real convenient. Like written in the stars, convenient.

All he has to do is make sure this Jamie is good enough. Could really be The One for her, and the friend for him.

But watch out, Leo, the stars have a surprise in store . . .

Contains mature themes.

Liked the story. Subtracting one star because the narrator voiced one of the characters a little weird.

This was the first book I had read by this author, and it totally blew me away - it was so funny, so sweet and so unforgettable. I loved the writing just as much as I adored the characters.

What a sweet contemporary romance! I pretty much had a smile on my face through out the book and found myself giggling aloud on several occasions. The characters were well-written, and while the plot wasn't the most mind blowing thing out there, it was entertaining and believable enough (I mean, I guess it's conceivable for an actual person to be as clueless as Theo, right?). I also like the structuring of the chapters with the quotes of the day thrown in between.

I thought the narration brought it down. It's fine for Theo and the general reading, but the other voices are just...not good.

So Cute! What a great story. Definitely the funniest romance I've read in a while which I loved. This is such a breath of fresh air considering I read a ton of romance books with more serious themes.

The Romance in this between Jamie and Theo was so cute. I loved that each of them had their own distinct strengths and flaws. I think that is the thing that really creates distinct characters and the author did such a good job building two distinct people and showing how they could fall in love. Even though they were very different, I could see how they would fall in love. Sometimes with opposites attract stories, I feel like the connection between the two characters isn't fleshed out enough for me to believe that they would end up together. However, with this book, it was clear how their strengths and weaknesses played off each other and I really appreciated that.

Theo was completely oblivious through most of the book, which could have driven me up the wall, but he was so sweet that I didn't mind at all. I just loved going along for the ride as he realized his feelings for Jamie and grew a lot as a person outside of his relationship. Jamie was also a great character. He could have easily fallen into the tried and true character of the boring, hard-nosed love interest who falls in love with his polar opposite but to me he had such a strong personality that really helped to separate him from the pack of similar characters. I loved how he interacted with Theo and how at points you could really feel how affectionately annoyed he was with Theo. The strong characterization of Theo and Jamie really helped to build a stronger relationship between them.

The side characters in this were also great. Leone was amazing both as a sister to Theo and and friend to Jamie. I loved how she explained her blindness and how she never saw it as a problem or something that would stop her from going after what she wanted. I loved how so many other parts of her character and personality were emphasized instead of only focusing on her blindness. All of the other friends, such as Sean, Kyle, and Ben were also very fun. We don't get to see Ben and Kyle that much in this book and I still felt like I knew who they were and had a sense of their personality.

This book came highly recommended and I'm so glad I finally picked this one up. I definitely want to read the other books in this series. I've read the synopses and they seem equally as fun as this one was. I can't want to see what this author does with different characters!

This romance is a bit too slow-burn for me. I would have liked the book a lot better if it was half as long.

I've figured out when to exit from the struggle bus. I pulled the chain and hopped off that m-fer.

It's when the game of Truth or Dare starts. You exit after that.

It's when you keep lowering your e-reader to wax on about the use of the word 'nicking' not making sense to you, read all the WaPo op-eds, and also when the characters play Truth or Dare.

It's when you realize you generally don't enjoy this story and do not care for where it's going. (Where is going feels very...concerning but didn't finish so I'll withhold judgment)

It's when you realize "ohmygod I don't have to finish this. This isn't uncooked chicken. It's just a book I don't like"

It's pretty much just me, after a quick scan. FWIW.

Also note to self: as a total skeptic, I should've known. One horoscope reference is too many. To eaches their owns.

A very swoony slow burn read that's for sure. This book was such a fun read and I will definitely be checking out more of the authors' books. I loved the snarky banter between Theo and Jamie. I was grinning a mile wide reading this book and couldn't wait for Theo to stop being so clueless. There were also some lovely side characters to adore as well. A+
