      She presented the argument very well and covered a lot of territory.

      She did her best to try to make Universal Basic Income a concept that can happen but in a section she comes to the simple realization that helping people is a decision mainly not based on economic principles.

      Sometimes the book sounds a little boring but my guess was that when a concept is being explained it becomes a little textual.

      There are lots of interesting concepts bandied about in this book, but given the large population in America one has to wonder how such a grand scheme could be completed when the federal govt cant even make a dent in astronomical debt. Nevertheless, it is clear that a socialist agenda is afoot to launch such programs. It was interesting to learn that Alaska already has a version of UBI. Maybe this will be used in order to eliminate social security before it goes bust? I came away more distrustful than ever of government programs.

      Good look at UBI as a general concept, programs being implemented today, alternatives etc. I also appreciated the book being read by the author, that was a nice treat. I'd like a call to action. What can I do, now that I know about this stuff? Just spread the gospel? Are there organizations I can join to push it? I also wonder if the future will just inevitably call for something along the lines of a UBI, with more automation and efficiency, can we really keep calling for more jobs? I hope the author has read David Graeber's 'Bullshit Jobs: A Theory', it would have been very relevant at times. But her body of research was rich and great for supporting the concepts.

      I liked the audiobook very much but I don t believe in a system where you receive money doing nothing.
