About this audiobook

INSTANT BESTSELLER

“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List

“Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away.” —Mark Greaney, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mission Critical

In #1 New York Times bestselling author Jack Carr’s follow-up to The Terminal List, former Navy SEAL James Reece’s skill, cunning, and heroism put the US government back in his debt and set him on another path of revenge.

When a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world during the holiday season, the broader markets fall into a tailspin. The attacks are being coordinated by a shadowy former Iraqi commando who has disappeared into Europe’s underground. The United States government has an asset who can turn the Iraqi against his masters: James Reece, the most-wanted domestic terrorist alive.

After avenging the deaths of his family and team members, Reece emerges deep in the wilds of Mozambique, protected by the family of his estranged best friend and former SEAL Team member. When a series of events uncovers his whereabouts, the CIA recruits him, using a Presidential pardon for Reece and immunity for the friends who helped him in his mission of vengeance.

Now a reluctant tool of the United States government, Reece travels the globe, targeting terrorist leaders, unraveling a geopolitical conspiracy that exposes a traitorous CIA officer, and uncovering a sinister assassination plot with worldwide repercussions.

A high-intensity roller-coaster race against time, True Believer is “one of this year’s hottest thrillers, and a perfect fit for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Daniel Silva” (The Real Book Spy).

Excellent book!! Unfortunately, I’m reading the series in reverse order, started with “Savage Son” as a recommendation of Joe Roagan. Thriller, special ops, insider knowledge, and well written, are all understatements. I highly recommend the entire series, in order!

The second installment in this series was excellent!
You feel a bit like you’re embedded with the troops listening to the continued saga of secret ops military hero James Reece and his navy SEAL colleagues.
Great narration and ripped from the headlines storyline. Looking forward to hearing more about Captain Reece in a third go of this very compelling series.

Jacks attention to detail, respect for and mention of even the seemingly insignificant areas of the military and intelligence world add significantly to the awesome storyline of this series. Love it!

Absolutely outstanding!! Took the first 5 hours for it to get really going but then it took off although I loved all of it. So excited for Jack’s next chapter of James Reece’s action packed series!

I recently found Jack Carr and read The Terminal List and loved it. I was a huge Vince Flynn fan and read all of the Mitch Rapp books. Or actually I listened to them. Same with Carr’s books. I would never get them finished if I could only read books! I’m just starting the third book in Jack Carr’s series! I know it will be great!

Without a surprise, this book gives you just enough to keep you leaning forward. Jack Carr has a unique perspective on the tactical and technical details mixed with human emotion to blend military life with everyday life. There is not only the human story of love and loss, but revenge with a twist of nothing to lose and zero F’s given. Extremely well written book and I would highly recommend this and the other books in the series. Bravo Zulu Mr. Carr!

This is the 2nd and can’t wait to listen to the third of the series. Written by a seal with a no nonsense way of laying out the story in a way that keeps you hooked. With just enough maybe factor to make you wonder if the “fiction “ could become/is reality. Listen for yourself.

Generic revenge thriller. First book in series quite good. This is a cliche collection of character and plot devices to set up an ongoing series. Problem is, it has been done in a much better way by several other authors. Audio is savef by narrator Scott Brick who could make thr phonebook interesting.

Matter-of-fact driven narrative that engages you from the word "Go!". You wouldn't think it, but the almost "emotionless", (again!) FACT-DRIVEN narrative and narration elicits so much emotion...crazy.

Well worth the read/listen. Wow. Haven't seen anything like it.
