They say all's fair in love and music...
I say life would be a lot fairer if I wasn't so wildly attracted to the man I'm spending all my days with, who's decidedly off-limits.
But then again, I can't technically complain—I have a Grammy, a hit album, and a job most people would be envious of—I'm a rock star. What I haven't had in years is a hot date. The dating drought isn't because I'm a single mom. It's because I have a little itty-bitty issue with trust because of how my marriage imploded.
Matthew is determined to break down my walls, and it sure doesn't hurt that he's British, witty, and far too tempting. He's also the toughest music journalist out there, and he's interviewing me for an in-depth article. The trouble is, I want to get in-depth with him, and the more time we spend together, the more tempted we both are to cross lines that shouldn't be crossed.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Sorry is good so far, but this recording is horrible. It skips parts of the story in chapters 1 and 8. After the second time it did this, I gave up listening to the story.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sweet, sweet story!! I could not stop listening. Binged this one all day today. Lauren hit so many things I loved in this book, Harry Potter, musical theater, classic rock, and border collies :-) I think she may be my soul mate. Lol No spoilers, but THIS EPILOGUE IS EVERYTHING! Sigh

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this. Good character development, great tension and the angst situation did not feel contrived just as a plot device. Also as expected with a LB book the spice was ??
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was honestly not my favorite from LB. Yes it had everything I love from her normal book formula, right down to the narrators Shane East and Andi Arndt, but this just didn't do it for me. I felt like there's too much celebrity name doing for one, which is understandable since the heroine is a musician but it started to feel like a list of artists and song titles. One thing I did feel like was missing was the comedy. Even when her books aren't classified as a romantic comedy there's always elements to the story that will tickle your giggle box. Not in this book. I did love the chemistry between the main characters and the sex was unbelievably hot but that was pretty much it for me. Sorry LB.

HEA or HFN? HEA - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ah, Ms. Blakely does it again. I really cannot express my love enough for the characters that she writes. She gives them this dimension that I have yet to find in another book. I am always so sucked into her books, and Far Too Tempting was not exception. We start out at the Grammy's, with our heroine winning her first Grammy and in complete shock of her triumph. On the heels of Jane Black's shock and awe is everyone clamoring for information about her new album... wait new album? You mean the one that has not been written or even thought of yet? Yes, that one! The media and her label are both hounding her for more and Jane is not sure she can deliver. "You looked so gorgeous and I wanted you so much and I had to tell you I was madly fucking in love with you."~Matthew HarriganIn a rare position, Matthew Harrigan is interested in both the story of Jane's new album and Jane herself. They've talked a few times but their connection stems from the rave review Matthew wrote about Crushed, the Grammy Winning Album of the Year, by Jane Black. He helped put her on the market and Jane cannot forget the wonderful things he said about her songs. So they come to an agreement, Matthew can follow Jane's road to completing her new album. The only problem? Jane's has yet to even prepare for this new album, that everyone is expecting yesterday. It's not long before Matthew and Jane strike up something more than business deal. And as they work through their working and personal relationship, Jane must fight some personal demons of her own. She tries to clear out all the drama in her life in hopes of also clearing her writer's block. What's she supposed to do when she realizes her last hit came from heartbreak and she is only experiencing a full, whole heart? "We both knew in that moment- with certainty, with confidence, without any question- that so many of these new songs did not come from a broken heart, but from one filling up."~Jane BlackJane's biggest problem is that she is so new to the fame world she was letting other people undermine her own thoughts and feelings. On the flip side Matthew is so set in his ways that he refuses is personal relationship to impede his work in the least, which was extremely admirable. Far Too Tempting had a terrific relationship build between Matthew and Jane and these two had off the charts chemistry. And while their life styles and their meeting may be a little fairytale-ish their relationship and life together is a real, honest and raw experience. They have their banters, and misunderstandings but, they also make it work like adults. Far Too Tempting adds a bit of mystery to Lauren Blakely's repertoire. Not in a dangerous way, it was just an exciting ride watching Jane begin to understand herself and come to grips with how her life has turned out and also being able to overcome the writer's block that she was experiencing. Overall, another terrific book by Lauren Blakely and I am so excited to read more of her work!Happy Reading!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It starts off a bit slow. I was having a hard time trying to figure out how these two were going to get together since they seemed to have some much standing in their way. It doesn't take long luckily. Jane has a lot of insecurities and rightly so when it comes to Matthew. At times Matthew irritates those insecurities instead of laying them to rest. The one thing that may decide Jane & Matthew's future is Jane's writers block-Seems love does want her to write songs. Lots of hot juicy sex.
Fabulous ending.
