    Anna Meriano grew up in Houston, Texas, with an older brother and a younger brother but (tragically) no sisters. She graduated from Rice University with a degree in English and earned her MFA in creative writing with an emphasis in writing for children from the New School in New York. She has taught creative writing and high school English and works as a writing tutor. Anna likes reading, knitting, playing full-contact quidditch, and translating English song lyrics into Spanish and vice-versa. Her favorite baked goods are the kind that don’t fly away before you eat them.

      The "Love Sugar Magic" books are fun and heartwarming, and "A Mixture of Mischief" is no exception. Like the other two books in the series, it's full of family, friends, magic and baked goods, but this time something serious is happening, and we get a real antagonist in the mix. I really liked the storyline, and most of all I like how Leo is growing up with every book - and learning to be a better bruja and a better person.

      I must note that I read this book as an audiobook and I really enjoyed Kyla Garcia's narration. She narrates all the books in the series so far, so if you prefer audiobooks this series would be a good one to pick up.

      I hope this is not the last I see of Leo and the Logroño family, and I'm crossing my fingers that there are going to be more books in this series.
