About this audiobook
A Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Washington Post, and Amazon Charts bestseller.
From #1 New York Times bestselling phenomenon Sylvia Day comes a hotly anticipated and passionate new love story.
Once, I would never have imagined myself here. But I’m settled now. In a place I love, in a home I renovated, spending time with new friends I adore, and working a job that fulfills me. I am reconciling the past and laying the groundwork for the future.
Then Garrett Frost moves in next door.
He’s obstinate and too bold, a raging force of nature that disrupts the careful order of my life. I recognize the ghosts that haunt him, the torment driving him. Garrett would be risky in any form, but wounded, he’s far more dangerous. I fear I’m too fragile for the storm raging inside him, too delicate to withstand the pain that buffets him. But he’s too determined…and too tempting.
And sometimes hope soars above even the iciest desolation.
Emotional and heartrending, Butterfly in Frost marks a brilliant return by global sensation Sylvia Day, the #1 international multimillion bestselling author of the Crossfire saga.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Started out as a good romance. Good chem between h and H. Then turned into another story altogether in last chapter which doesn’t fit the first 15 chapters when you consider them. Also narrator is AWFUL : she sounds like a tone-deaf Amazon Alexa.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was a little slow with an interesting twist. I didn’t like it as much as the author’s Crossfire series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow, wow, wow!! What a novel!! So mysterious but then .... bam!! Love it!!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Butterfly in Frost” is a short, yet complicated story. Our main characters, Teagan and Garrett, meet when her friend’s dog runs into him. From the start, Garrett is pushy and just too confident. He rather forces himself into her life and, when she gives into her charm, a beautiful romance starts. But the book is not just a hot love story, as there is there is so much more going on with our protagonists.
Her past stays mostly hidden, but we get a glimpse of what Garrett has been through. She’s willing to help, but Teagan has her own depression to deal with. Speaking of which, it is best to mention that if you have any form of anxiety or any form of depression, there are scenes in the book that may send you in an … emotional state. The twist in the end is something that I did not see coming and it puts everything in a different perspective.
There were several things I enjoyed and some that I did not quite like. On a positive note, I loved how well the author created emotions. There were raw states of despair, pure fragility and pain. This was the wow factor for me. The author did not shy away from showing how a traumatizing event can shatter a man and a woman, as well as a couple. She was also not afraid to point out how others treat people with anxiety or depression and how some tend to see in this a reason of embarrassment. Initially, I was enraged, but then I understood the reality in those reactions or opinions.
On the not so positive side, I did not like Garrett’s arrogance and persistent personality. He was annoying and rude, always assuming he knew exactly what Teagan wanted. The reveal in the end explained some things, but it did not make much sense when it comes to her past.
All in all, while I really enjoyed the writing, the emotions and even how Garrett and Teagan rediscovered each other, he was irritating and the ending left some holes. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Nice twist at the end!! Didn’t want the story to end there
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a great book and wow, what an unexpected ending! My only complaint was that Joe only narrated one chapter!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a surprise. It’s been a while that a story line has caught me off guard in a delightful way. This maybe the first book I read more then once.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing... Totally blew my mind. And tears are still in my eyes after that twist. A great book and author ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Foarte tristă, dar plină de speranță. A doua șansă in dragoste.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I didn't see the end coming! Bizarre yet touching story. Trigger warning for any parents who have lost children.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Totally not the ending I expected!Was a good book though.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great book, terrible narrators lost a star cause of their slow voices that seemed to often lose the emotion of the text.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5 ⭐️ It isn’t a bad book. It just isn’t what I expected. It’s wonderful getting a glimpse back into the characters from the Crossfire Series. Life isn’t always tied up into neat little bows. It was a beautiful story, I just wish it came with a trigger warning.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely Loved the story! I was just sooooo shocked with the end of the second last chapter! Not what I’ve expected AT ALL!!!! Thank you for this beautiful, captivated story Sylvia Day ?! You always leave me breathless!!
#Teagan #Garret - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5When the plot twist seems like an afterthought it ruins the book. Not well explained nor explored enough. I’m just really confused even though I understood the storyline. Almost seems as though she needed to finish it quickly. Not like her others, that’s for sure.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Liked this standalone better than the crossfire saga. Wanted more on Cary. Love him.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I missed the memo that this was a long novella, not a full length novel. It was definitely ramping up sooner than I figured it would, leaving me to wonder what the middle and end would look like. Oh man, I feel cheated! Fleshing it out to a full novel would’ve been much better.
But hey — that twist was - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Teagan isn't happy when Garrett Frost moves in next door. He seems arrogant and entitled but she also finds him very sexy.I have to admit that if I'd stopped reading this book before the three-quarters mark, I probably would have given it 3 stars. While I loved the setting, the mentions of the Cross family and friends, and the secondary characters, I wasn't sold on Teagan and Garrett. The insta-lust was a bit much, and I didn't understand Garrett's groveling or Teagan's depression. Her divorce was a long time ago, and she actually seemed okay with it.Then I got to the ending. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I started thinking back to all the clues Ms. Day had woven into the story. The characters' motivations were suddenly much more explainable and poignant. I suspect this is a story I will think about for a long time. Kudos to Ms. Day and I heartily recommend this book.
