About this audiobook

When disaster strikes, paradise calls....

As a published novelist, Lila Rose has been writing about fictional weddings all her life. But disaster strikes on her own big day when she hears her philandering fiancé, Daniel, whispering sweet nothings to someone else. With her dream day shattered, all Lila wants to do is run and hide, so she decides to fly solo on her own honeymoon.

When Daniel arrives in the resort with his new squeeze, Lila strikes up a ‘showmance’ with hot new movie star Freddie Bianchi. Freddie is perfect for the part, and Lila soon relaxes into her leading lady role.

But as truth starts to merge with fiction, could real love be in the air?

A sizzling holiday romance, perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk and Sophie Ranald’s Sorry Not Sorry.

Portia MacIntosh

Portia MacIntosh is the bestselling author of over 20 romantic comedy novels. From disastrous dates to destination weddings, Portia’s romcoms are the perfect way to escape from day to day life, visiting sunny beaches in the summer and snowy villages at Christmas time. Whether it’s southern Italy or the Yorkshire coast, Portia’s stories are the holiday you’re craving, conveniently packed in between the pages. Formerly a journalist, Portia has left the city, swapping the music biz for the moors, to live the (not so) quiet life with her husband and her dog in Yorkshire.

This was quite a fun book. I loved that the characters stayed true to who they were and didn't switch up to suit the plot

cute listen! at first i wasn’t into it, but then you start to pick up on the subtle humor, and then it was enjoyable. definitely predictable, but sometimes that’s okay. and in this case it was. definitely fun and light. the narrator needs to work on her american accent, but she definitely did a good job overall.

definitely add this to your list of you like “happily ever after” stories.

Thé book is so sweet and characters are so mature. Lyla isn't trying to mold herself for her partner instead working on their relationship. there are also some hilarious scenes. All and Marty were very unexpected surprise. I feel sorry for alley thou. she put her body through so much while following the beauty standards

Witty and a fun read. Though unfortunate how sad the main character felt for herself. Quite a cliché ending, however, guessing that's what we want when we grab a book like this.
