- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Started pretty good. But really didn't explain the program well enough for a such a long book. I have a medical professional professional degree and expected more.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Seems really well backed but a couple of parts I think they were biased on particularly the machines they had a part in developing. Overall much better book on the subject than some of these celebrity trainers looking to cash in on our obesity problem.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Such an eye opener. It made me question all my beliefs around exercise and it's relationship to health and fitness. I am determined to try what was suggested and to learn more about this subject.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have trained similar to the recommendations in this book for 40 years. The big 5 is key to staying fit for life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book, with great information. I have done exercise my whole life, and I thought more was better. Now older than before, this book change my approach for the better.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A must read for all ages. HIT has undeniable benefits.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a timely piece of work, considering the direction that the fitness industry is headed and people’s desires to get fit. Great work!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5May not as solid on the science as it seems. For more information try to get a understanding of high volume vs low volume from other sources.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A strong body is key to good health and quality aging. This book does provide key insights into how strength training enables this. And does a far better job than (perhaps all) other books of this genre.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The system didn't work for me. I used it for about three months. During that time I lost significant mass and tone, and also gained fat in my torso. The book makes a case that seems reasonable to the lay reader, but with results like mine, I have to recommend heavy skepticism.
