About this audiobook
A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a nineteen-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left.
Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself. And staying at home heartbroken? F%*k. That.
What does a woman do when her life has fallen apart and her heart has been ripped out and stepped on twice in two months? She goes on a wild adventure, makes some bad decisions, and does a sh*t load of soul searching. But most importantly? She finds out how to love . . . herself.
This is so not Eat, Pray, Love.
This is Eat, Pray, #FML.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I beg the author to re-read this shit when she’s 40

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The book started out interesting, but quickly became a chore to get through. I heard “literally” way too many times, especially when what followed wasn’t even literal. The author makes numerous fat-phobic comments. Goes way too into details that don’t matter. I didn’t need to hear every single texting conversation and twitter/instagram post. Not what I thought the story would be. I felt I owed the book a chance and listened until the end hoping it would get better, but I became more and more annoyed. I’m glad the author had an amazing experience traveling and soul searching, but this book was unnecessary…

Love the author
Can’t wait for next book - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Simply amazing. Do yourself a favour and read / listen this book. Not only is it fucking funny, deep, and eye opening - well it was for me anyway - it is full of life and understanding. Who knows, it might teach you a little thing or 2, it sure did for me. Cocktails up girls and cheers!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it!! Loved hearing Gabrielle’s journey through Europe and through Life!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Kinda repetitive but I can’t help but love Gabrielle and I really enjoyed the book and the thought onions!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great go listen along And totally entertained the whole way thorough the book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I nearly didn't listen to this audiobook because of the mixed reviews, but I'm glad that I did. It's a really honest account of the things we do when blindsided by love. For those that critisised Gabrielle for the depth of her feelings at such an early stage of a relationship, they clearly have not broken up with someone in that initial heady phase of intoxicating love. There were times when I was saying 'Nooo don't do it!' But then reflecting on things I've done in my life in a similar situation and realising it isn't always the smart decision, or the advice you would give a friend, but love often overrules the head. I really enjoyed being able to see the photos on Gabrielle's Instagram after I read the book, I'm so intrigued to know her next chapter.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book makes me want to pull my hair out! If I hear her pine over Javier whom she’s known for 5 minutes, one more time I’m literally going to scream. This book has amazing marketing which is why I listened but man it’s a struggle to finish. I hesitate to write this review because I really really want to like it but, it hard when she constantly wails over a guy. Vomit.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a journey! A must read (the audio was awesome)!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I enjoyed her awareness of her thoughts (thought onion). Really struggled with the multiple references to becoming “fat” & eating “bad” food and in-depth explanation of the social media posts & text message content! #FML!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Gabrielle, thank you for sharing your story. I related on so many levels! Raw, honest, funny, relatable, open…..thank you
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5UGHHHH...what a story! Makes me want to quit my job and back pack Europe!! Hoping for a follow up book with how the author met her current love..10 years later. Is it Chris????
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Too valley girl, also a bit too long. Vocabulary basic as well
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely Freakin’ Amazing ?????? loved to the very last Word.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this book !! It’s truly amazing !!! What a journey
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Painful. It does not get better like I hoped it would. It’s a story about a girl who acts completely crazy after a breakup from a 1 month relationship. This is the kind of thing that makes us all look crazy! Very valley girl, immature and too repetitive.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5She made me realize I’m not alone! That everyone goes through crap and can get through it! I related so much with her and the way she thought!!!!! I couldn’t stop listening!!!! She is so real! And I’m so thankful she wrote this!!!!! I cannot wait for the next book!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Raw, vulnerable, and one of those books that cannot put down! I was hooked immediately and loved everything about this book and finished feeling inspired
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fuck! You inspired me! Fuck Anxiety! Fuck it all !
Love the Fuck out of you ! - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5What the heck did I just read? Okay, I am only halfway through and I am already done with it. The only motivation I have to keep going is that I’ve already wasted several hours listening to this girl
whine about how her Latin lover bf of two months dropped her at the last minute before their Italy trip- and why hasn’t he texted her? It’s been three whole days!
I picked up this book because I thought that after all those heartbreaks she went through, she would learn something. But she sounds like the most annoying, self absorbed girl friend you have. The one who constantly talks about her self and makes the same stupid mistakes.
I mean, I’ve also done a lot of stupid mistakes and have also travelled by myself, does mean I should write a book? I hope she spends her book earnings to find the best therapist her money can afford.
This is the most shallow book I’ve ever read. She has the maturity level of a 15 year old.
PS- I never write reviews and I feel compelled to do so with this one. I need to warn others. Consider it my public service for the day. You’re welcome. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book came aross my searching, and I'm so glad I dug in. It's written in such a way that I feel she's going through these situations and telling them to me like I was one of her good friends. I feel like I have an ally, now a group of other women as well in this thing called life. I love Gabrielle and what this book has opened up in her, me and others, and I can't see what the future has to hold!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So relatable and raw. Absolutely loved it and will recommend to all my friends!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am not a big book reading person but let me tell you, this book was amazing. Filled with all the emotions, crazy stories, and excellent advice. Gabrielle really makes you feel what she was going through at that time and that we are never alone in the struggles we face. I am recommending this book to everyone I know and love and I can not wait for her next book to come out.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Well done Madam. Well done. #loveyourself.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this book! I could feel every emotion as I read along.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book. And to all the haters. If you don't like a book you can say so without being a complete asshole! It's not easy to put yourself out there so show a bit of respect. Don't see any of your books on here. Be nice or don't review it
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5If you’re into teenage drama, this is the book for you. The entire book is repeating the same three events over and over and over. You can listen a few minutes and skip to the next chapter. It’s the same story repeated. Everyone experiences loss. Everyone experiences heartache. Most of us if we’re emotionally mature, find our way through grief without making it our “story“. The F-bombs gets old quick. The drug taking and drinking is depressing. This book felt like childish revenge. I hope this young woman has found significance in something other than her repeated “stories“ and drama.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is such an amazing book. I highly recommend to anyone.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I listened to this one as part of a local book club. I was thoroughly disappointed and I feel all these D-list celebs are just trying to put anything out there in hopes of people buying it.
