      This book was such an enjoyable read, I loved it!

      What. A. Cute. Story.
      I don't think I realized how much I need a feel-good YA novel. This was the perfect escape and I loved that most of the story took place at camp since that was not something I got to do while growing up but had the desire to. I love the characters Emma Lord created and the so many modern references highlighted throughout the book. Recommend if you're needing an escape from the ongoings of the outside world.

      Stuffed with the exceptional thrill of teenage drama, crisis and experiences. The character development is exemplary and the entire setting captures today’s modern technology-filled life to the fullest extent! A must-read for teenagers, young adults and adults alike.

      Many passionate readers have heard of Reese Witherspoon's Book Club and have likely picked up a title or two that she has recommended. But did you know that she also does YA picks? Emma Lord's new novel You Have a Match was Reese's Winter '21 YA Book Club pick, but this soul-searching novel set against the backdrop of a summer camp is best read during the warmer months. I decided to read this novel because I previously read and loved Emma Lord's debut, Tweet Cute. While Lord's sophomore novel doesn't quite soar to the hilarious heights that Tweet Cute did, it is still a solid read.

      Abby never expected to "get a match" when she signed up for an ancestry DNA test (think 23andMe). She mainly wanted to prove to her best friend Connie that she is the one with more Irish blood. But there it is sitting in her results - she has a full-blooded sister named Savvy that she had no idea even existed. From there, You Have a Match becomes a story about sisters reuniting, fighting (as sisters do), and attempting to bring their long-lost families together again. Bonding (or sometimes not!) while at summer camp and devising ways to make their parents meet-up, Abby and Savvy's antics are reminiscent of an updated Parent Trap with a twist.

      More introspective and character-focused than exciting and plot-driven, You Have a Match is an excellent read for young adults who are on a journey to discover themselves and understand their families better. However, a large percentage of this novel is encompassed by the characters having conversations, albeit important ones, about what they feel, what has happened in the past, and where they want things to go in the future. While this dialogue will be relatable to anyone going through a similar situation, it makes for some very long and tedious reading passages. I would have preferred if Lord SHOWED us how Abby, Savvy, and their families learn about each other and grow, rather than spelling it all out for readers through conversation.

      well i was unexpectedly enjoying this more than I thought. I feel relate to Abby in many ways and I like the family dynamics, the parents's drama, the relationship between Abby and Savannah. Emma Lord's character seems a bit childish for my liking. as we can see in Tweet Cute. an uncommunication and misunderstanding was taken too far. I was gahhh take me out of this. but overall I love the The Parent Trap references. and the family drama was really good.

      My heart is literally smiling.i started to see imaginary heart emojis around my head and I keep giggling like mischievous teenagers or wrost kind of annoying romance heros .this noval is amazing.i loved this and the parent trap with non identical twins theme story line .two sisters accidentally find each other via DNA survive and decide to dig more to learn what their parents are hiding from them by participating a summer camp together

      Abby and her friends Connie decide to take a DNA test to support Leo, who’s adopted. Abby never expects to find results, let alone a full sister called Savvy. Leo has always spent his time at summer camp, so when Abby decides to go he doesn’t realise it’s to get to know Savvy for the summer.

      The plot itself is easy to follow, the supporting characters very one dimensional apart from the introduced Fin. The themes of family, summer camp, ancestry, influencers and love triangles were so pushed into the book there was too much lacking from all.

      It’s the Parent Trap meets Instagram influencers. The relationships seem spread too thinly and too resolved. The location of camp, apart from a mention here and there is barely used. It was a super easy audiobook listen, and I really enjoyed Evas voice. Would I read it as a book? Probably not but if you’re after something that’s feel cute, all resolved and easy- this is it.

      I was SO EXCITED to be granted an ARC of You Have a Match! I loved Emma's first novel, Tweet Cute, so I was so ready to see what she would bring to the table next.

      You Have a Match was a unique family drama, with plenty of laughs and love along the way. There were so many twists and turns in such a good way. I could not put it down. This is my 4th book of 2021, and it's my first 4 star rating!

      The characters were all likable and relatable. I feel like i would have acted exactly like they did if I were a teen in their situations. The family dynamics were strong and in your face, which I find refreshing in a YA novel. Not many I have read has had the whole family front and center like this one.

      I want everyone to read this now, but it would honestly be a perfect summer read! Definitely recommend!
