Reviews for The Art of Body Language

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The author also has a sense of humor and provides the right about of space and breaks in the text with humor, pictures and examples to keep it from getting too dry. This layout also follows the tell you, tell you again and tell you what they told you approach so you can even read it in public and watch for the behaviors while you are reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5When I make assumptions based on the book in business settings I have been wrong because so many factors could lead to the emotion that is creating the language and most of which have nothing to do with me or the current interaction. In personal settings it is spot on and can sometimes be very entertaining
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's been over four years since the first time I read this book and I still haven't memorized all the techniques but I know a lot of them by heart now. What makes it easier is if you're really interested in body language and find yourself practicing the techniques learned in this book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The best book on body language available. I've read this book three times and always pick up new insights every time. After studying this book you'll be able to read people better no doubt. Of course it takes some practice to really master the techniques you learn in this book, and you'll be a bit overwhelmed and confused at first
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am still socially scared to talk with a lot of people I don't know, this book did provide insight into what certain gestures mean and what I could be portraying to people without even knowing it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Body language can be a hard thing to learn and employ, especially if you have aspergers like I do. Learning to communicate with peers using any kind of non verbal language was hard for me until I read this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was exactly what I was looking for. It does not go into every type of common body gesture, but definitely enough to keep you busy for a while.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5With this book you can connect better with people; communicate more effectively, and get across the nonverbal information you really want to convey in a variety of situations, from giving speeches or presentations to being in a job interview. Lot's of VERY valuable information in this book; highly recommended!
