I really enjoyed the different relationships. 6 different relationships throughout NYC during a Blackout. The authors of this book created a great mesh of all kinds & types of relationships! The way love makes you feel, the different levels of love the kind of love that you Crave or want to fight for. I highly recommend this book ?. Left me wanting to hear more about the relationships. How far they advanced. But overall a good read.

This was a cute audiobook. The stories were good and I had fun listening to all of them, though some of them were definitely better than others. I enjoyed Tiffany D. Jackson's, Nicola Yoon's, and Angie Thomas' stories the most. The others felt a little. . . dry to me. But overall, for anyone who likes romance — especially Black romance — I would definitely say give it a listen.

A series of unexpected love stories, unexpected journeys and unexpected, but incredulous endings. I was left wanting more, but totally satiated. How is it that these authors were able to pull me in in a way that left a slight longing, yet full heart?

Sappy but cute. Not a huge fan of romance, but romance with growth on characters and drops of life choice gems, along with great diversity on the orientation and races - loved this.

I don’t really like short stories unless it is the wrap up of a series like an epilogue. This series was important to young black romance and love. Each story had a budding and failing love story for various reasons. It is young adult so there were communication unresolved sexuality and teen angsty behavior. I did like the first story weaving throughout the anthology and the last story was my favorite.

An easy, entertaining read, taking place during a fictional summer blackout affecting New York City.
Six young Black authors collaborate to create six romance stories with each person trying to make it to a Brooklyn block party. This book wasn't what I expected, but I'd definitely recommend it after completing an emotionally driven book. A teenager who enjoys reading will enjoy "Blackout."
