He co-founded the influential Goth-punk, cross-dressing band Christian Death, and was—for a time—the drummer of Bad Religion. After years of drumming, drugs, and eventually rehab, Albert found success as a writer. Contributing keen observations of the Los Angeles underbelly to LA Weekly, he received the Best of the West Journalism's Best Sports Writing Award in 2000 and later published the memoir Wrecking Crew.view less
