She has contributed to the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Guardian, Independent and Sunday Times Magazine among others, and was a reporter and an editor at the International New York Times. She is the author of War and Photography, and the novel Hinterland, first published by Bloomsbury in 2012. She divides her time between London and Paris.
