About this ebook

Australian rock giants AC/DC have sold more records in the U.S. than Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, and than the Rolling Stones, yet have always been undervalued and unappreciated by mainstream rock music critics. In Why AC/DC Matters, former Rolling Stone staff writer and New York Times bestselling author Anthony Bozza addresses this inequity, penning a just tribute to these monsters of rock. Brimming with fascinating stories and insights from musicians, fans, music scholars, and the author himself, Why AC/DC Matters is an overdue homage to arguably the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

Anthony Bozza accomplished a lot in this book. He not only describes how AC/DC created their distinctive sound, but spelled out exactly why they are conceivably the best rock band ever. That they have not been recognized as such by mainstream rock critics has been a serious slight. However, it hasn't affected their exceptional world-wide reputation, or especially, how they perform. Bozza has written a biography of sorts but mostly he has shown the reader how to appreciate AC/DC's music. This book is packed with information, stories, and quotes from other artists, all of which combine to make it compelling for those who are already fans, and intriguing for a casual reader. Bozza has set the record straight and paid tribute to their immense talent as masters of the genre.
