      Stuart's tiny hooves tapped over the linoleum.

      Must be supper time! Here comes Stuart! Lisa said, looking up at the clock.

      5:45 right on the dot.

      You’d think a dinner bell rang every night! How does he do that?! she asked her office manager Sarah, who just shook her head and smiled.

      Stuart had a knack for knowing exactly when it was time for supper and made sure everyone knew he was ready to eat.

      Stuart is a 9-month-old potbellied pig who lives in the quaint and cozy cottage that serves as the headquarters for the local animal shelter. He was rescued from a shelter in Merced after his owner surrendered him because he grew too big and she wasn’t able to keep him.

      Things could have turned out badly for Stuart, but he felt like the luckiest pig in the world.

      From the moment he arrived, he was showered with love and affection by his new caretakers.
