Matthew Freeman
Matthew freeman discovered he was a poet when he was ruined with love as a teenager. Entering School
Uh oh, here comes the hate, humility,
pent up because I didn’t sleep with her.
I’m wronged and down, it’s difficult to dream;
what’s worse—my genial spirits fail the grave
and all but gone the hoboes fade away,
the picaresque vagabonds gently gray,
when suddenly the jabs at academe
turn soft caresses from the sanguine lips
too eager to deny the ragged trips
we took.
