101 tips to get WORSE at Call of Duty - 101 tips

    Introduction

This book has been written for all Call of Duty fans across the globe, to add a bit of fun to the usual strategy guides.

Each tip starts off with a common sense statement followed by what to do to get much better (the exact opposite).

The tips contained within this book are not to be distributed or repeated on the website or any other website on the internet. There are links to this book available on the forum itself.

If you enjoy this book, please visit MYO and connect with us as authors.

We are also working on a number of other 101tips titles so keep an eye out for these too. Full details will be published on the website forum when they become available.

    As a Start....

Tip 1 - THINK THAT YOU WILL BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD AS SOON AS YOU BEGIN

Even if you’ve never played Call of Duty games before you should be able to pick up the game and be the best in the world at it.

If you’re not finishing top of the leaderboard straight away then your copy must be broken or even worse you’ve got lag problems and you should give the game up as a bad idea!

    OR, HOW ABOUT?

Getting good at any game takes time and practice. Stick with it and over time you will get used to it and see your results improve.

Learn from your mistakes as you play, if you find yourself dying in the same way and in the same places then try something different.

Or you could always start to use the tips contained in a guide similar to this 

The tips definitely won’t make you the best player in the world (natural ability, reflexes etc play a big part in this) but what they will do is stop you from being the worst and help you gain better results and more points.

And definitely don’t give up on the game, you wouldn’t be reading this if you didn’t care about getting better!

Tip 2 - IGNORE WHAT TRAINING THE GAME HAS TO OFFER

Don’t bother going into any of the training options that the game has. This includes early training missions in the campaign mode and specific game modes such as combat training in black-ops. If you ignore these modes you will definitely get WORSE!

    OR, HOW ABOUT?

There’s a reason why these modes are in the games and that’s to help you get used to the game and be competent in your general play before you enter the game for real.

Also, playing through the campaign within the game will usually result in the use of all the weapons at some point.

Through this you should be able to get a rough idea of which guns you liked and with which attachments etc.

This can be useful in choosing your initial set up on multiplayer and improve your chances of getting a decent start online.

Even if it’s a new version of the game and you are eager to get online the campaign shouldn’t take more than a few decent days worth of play to complete so you’re not going to be that far behind even the most committed players and will also likely miss any possible server teething problems over the first few days of demand.

    Tip 3 - DON’T LEARN THE MAPS

You shouldn’t have a look at the maps before you play them, not knowing the way to go or any possible hiding spots will definitely help you in getting worse!

    OR, HOW ABOUT?

Try some private games to learn your way around. This will give you an idea of the different set ups, routes and where enemies (or yourself) might want to hide.

Even if you don’t have any friends (on the game) to practice with, you can still set up a private lobby and enter a match on your own.

This will give you the chance to have a good look around the different maps without having to worry about enemies and receiving a face full of bullets.

You should be looking to get an idea of which paths to take to limit the places that people can shoot you from and also trying to remember possible escape routes if you do happen to get into trouble.

Once you are happy with the maps you can then enter the maps without any chance of getting lost and will be more confident in moving around.

Tip 4 - NEVER LOOK AT ONLNE ‘WIKI’S

You shouldn’t look at online information on the games as they are probably written by geeks with too much time on their hands and won’t know anything about the games.

You’ll be much better heading straight into battle and relying solely on your own ability!

    OR, HOW ABOUT?

The internet is a fantastic resource for understanding how the games work and the possible differences between what you might have played before.

Most of the people who write guides on these games are people who really care about the game and you can gain some good tips both from where they have succeeded and where they have failed.

They also contain a lot more information on the game dynamics than what you get directly from in-game or the instructions in the box.

They can include detailed map overviews and birds eye pictures to help your navigation or enhanced weapon statistics to help you know which type of weapon to use and when.

The weapons detail helps considerably as the stats in the game are often deceiving when it comes to what effect silencers and other attachments have to your weapon of choice.

Tip 5 - NEVER WATCH OTHER GAMEPLAY ON VIDEO SHARING SITES

    You should never watch
