About this ebook

Finally, the truth is revealed about what really goes on inside the mind of a Police Officer. Forget about the main stream mottos like "serve and protect"; "community service"; and other boilerplate mantras spoon fed to the public by Law Enforcement Public Relation Pundits.

Take it from a 12 year Decorated Police veteran in Robbery Homicide, Vice, Intelligence, Narcotics and routine Uniformed Patrol. The Policeman is definitely no longer your friend. He is your adversary and just like the salesman who hones his skills to close the deal, the Police Officer is a very practiced and dangerous antagonist to anyone who stands in the way of the Police State.

Many Police Officers initially go into their chosen field with good and decent intentions. However, after intense paramilitary indoctrination they are soon turned to the dark side (Away from the Constitution and Bill of Rights). This is not an overstatement; those that won’t be turned find themselves back on the street. Most Police Departments have a 1 year probationary period where the Officer is not protected by a “civil service contract”. During that year, even the best of them are broken or discarded.

“The New Breed”, that’s what they called us when I attended the very “first Police Academy” in South Florida, back in early 1974. The idea was to militarize the New Breed by creating a “Boot Camp” of sorts. Believe me when I say that they have come a long way down the slippery slope since my day. I pass by the Police Academy in Davie, Florida rather frequently and see them [Police Inductees I call them] marching, standing at attention, assuming the prone position and giving the instructor 50 pushups on demand. It sickens me.

This book is a must read for anyone confronting any type of “Police Encounter” in today’s Police State. It is imperative that you learn your rights, because that’s the only way you’re going to stop them. Whether in your car, home or out in the community, they are always there watching and waiting for you to make the slightest mistake. They are the sharks in the water and you are the bait.

We have indeed entered a new regime...

Terry Ingram

Terry Ingram is a decorated veteran Hollywood Police Officer with twelve years’ experience in Robbery/Homicide, Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics, and Uniformed Patrol. As a decorated combat Vietnam Veteran, having served his country honorably for six years, Terry founded “Law In Simple Terms”, an organization which teaches the art of “Pro Per litigation”. Terry developed an easy to comprehend course for laypersons which teaches the proper application of civil rights in the face of government confrontation, as well as how to negotiate the legal system without the aid or assistance of an attorney, and much more. One of the purposes of Terry’s classes is to educate government, and particularly the Law Enforcement community, about the true nature of its relationship with the American people. This is accomplished through acquired knowledge and self-representation in law suits, both civil and criminal. Government and Law Enforcement as well, use a plethora of rules, regulations and statutes to keep the citizenry in their place. For more than 20 years, Terry has simply and successfully been teaching the converse. Terry is not an attorney, nor has he been disadvantaged, aligned, or encumbered by membership into any bar association. He has never represented anyone and teaches average people how to represent themselves. Terry has a very unique understanding of jurisprudence, having had more than forty (40) years’ experience dealing with government, from both sides of the fence. Many of Terry’s students have rediscovered that "feeling of empowerment" that just one person can make a difference by learning exactly what their constitutional rights are and that government solely exists to protect those rights.

    INTRODUCTION

In this book I will address, among other things, the ten most common police encounters. The average citizen has a very good chance of experiencing at least one or several of these encounters in this day and age. Not too long ago, my reading audience would have been comprised of the so called paranoid conspiracy theorist community. In today’s Police State however, it’s another story entirely.

Just ask yourself, "What can I ‘lawfully’ do these days without government’s permission, license, permit, intervention, or approval? Let’s look at a short list of common endeavors and activities and see if we can find one with no governmental regulation.

    Walking around town?

Jay walking; blocking the sidewalk; not walking on the sidewalk; and disobeying pedestrian traffic signals.

    Talking?

Hate speech; loud speech; profane speech; and in Florida it’s a crime to falsely speak, or impute to her want of chastity, about any woman (Florida Statutes Chapter 836.04).

    Riding a bicycle?

Many cities have laws forcing bicycle licensing and registration; helmet laws; lights at night; and no riders on the handle bars.

    Driving a car?

State Driver’s License; State Registration; State compelled Auto Insurance; permission by the State to sell or transfer the title of a motor vehicle; and a plethora of motor vehicle codes.

    Get married?

State Marriage Licenses; blood tests and waiting periods (in some states); and payment to the State of an application fee.

    Get divorced?

Marriage Dissolution (usually very expensive); government decides who your children will live with; when, where, how and if, the non-custodial parent visits and pays child support; the divorce is the corporate dissolution of your civil marriage contract between you, your spouse and the third party…the State.

    Work in your chosen field?

Business licensing; occupational licensing; insurances; permits; zoning; even if you’re an employee and not the owner, all the costs paid to the city, county, and state, are reflected in your paycheck.

Keep the fruits of your labor?

Federal, State and Local income taxes (need I say more?); Social Security and Medicare deductions; all kinds of other taxes and social fees.

    Have consensual sex?

Living in open adultery is a crime in Florida (Florida Statute Chapter 798.01); government controls how, when and where you have consensual sex; How? No back door hanky panky; When? Better be married; Where? Out of sight and behind closed doors; government criminalizes the consensual sale of sex, except for certain exceptions like Nevada, as well as many other non-government approved relationships like same sex, again with certain recent exceptions in a few states.

    Own your own home?

Code Enforcement dictates the standards upon which you build your home and the parameters of how it is maintained under force of law; try paying off your mortgage in its entirety and then sit on your porch contemplating your navel until death do you part this rock. If you don’t pay your property taxes you will be separated from that property without compensation. To whom are your property taxes due? Who owns your property, if not you? You think you own that home you just paid off? Consider this simple example:

In jolly old England, the Crown collected taxes in the form of money, goods or services to her from her people. She collected taxes from top to bottom; from fiefs, surfs, tenants, lords, barons, earls, knights and so on. Many of the higher positions like lords and barons also collected taxes from their underlings. Guess to whom the Crown paid her taxes, or homage? No one! Why? The King was sovereign and owned England. If you fell from the king’s grace, you lost your land and property as well.

In America, people pay taxes to the State. Cities and Counties pay taxes to the State. So, if you want to know who owns your property (just like when doing good Police work) follow the money all the way to the one who doesn’t pay taxes, and there you will have him, the owner… the State. To whom does the State pay taxes? Not the Federal Government, that’s for sure. The People pay
