Quick read, felt like this stuff is repetitious, but yes enough words have been use to make the idea of a good preparation come across for me to keep reading through.
Its a sale pitch to get you to join their course. The main idea of how to prep is outlined in a few pages.
Id say give this one a quick read as it does a good job of sharing some good info.
Thank you for the amazing guideline.

CHAPTER 1
WHY YOU NEED TO MASTER THE USMLE STEP 1?
Factors to Consider
Taking the USMLE is different from any exam you have ever taken before. If you are an IMG, chances are it is different from the board exam you took in your home country. Therefore, you need to take into account those features that can affect your performance in the USMLE and adjust for them during your prep. For an AMG, the length of the exam, the sheer amount of details you need to read and memorize and the emphasis on analysis and understanding mechanisms rather than just memorizing facts can be quite daunting. Therefore it makes sense that you would take more time and effort to prepare for the USMLE than for other exams.
Everyone has a Limited Memory Capacity
Unless you have photographic memory, you can't remember everything. Everyone has a limited memory capacity. That is true for you, for me, for those who have failed the exams and for those who aced it. Different people have different memory capacities. Some may be larger, others smaller, but in the end, our memory capacities are limited. This is probably the single biggest reason why we need to prep properly in the first place. If we have unlimited memory, we can just open a book and start reading. By the time you finish the nth book, you know and can remember everything you need to ace the exam. But because of this limitation, it's not possible to do it that way and you need to take that into consideration in your prep. Later, we will discuss ways to increase the amount of information we can store in our limited memories. It requires some work and you will need to study a certain way in order to take advantage of it. But, it is doable.
USMLE Coverage is just too broad
The USMLE website has a list of all the topics that may come out in the exam. If you actually studied everything listed there, you will realize that you need to study all the major textbooks of each of the subjects covered and journals published in the past 5 years. It is impossible to study everything. Therefore, deciding what you are going to study and how detailed you are going to study them is a very important step in your preparation.
There are two things we need to understand though. First, with just over 300 questions in Step 1, the USMLE cannot cover everything. Therefore, you know you do not need to study everything. Second, the USMLE has a mandate, and that is to ensure that
