About this ebook

Genesis of the Bible = God’s Way.
This little book will correlate the Genesis account with Historical Geology. God can create this earth any way He chooses. It is not Creation versus Evolution. God created the earth by the process we call “evolution”, and the first chapter of the Bible outlines the process without a flaw. Therefore the first chapter in the Holy Bible was inspired by the Creator, God.

The human race can not comprehend God being billions and billions of years old! But he is. God is the beginning and abides where there is no time (you can find that in the Bible). So what is wrong with fifteen billion years of creation?

How beautiful is the correlation between the First Chapter of Geneses and the fossil record in the rocks. And how marvelous is the inspiration from God to the penman of the creation proceedings in Genesis. Only God, the creator, could have known the correct sequence of events during creation.

God created this earth and He had a plan for us before He started. This little book will tell you about it, and give reference at the end of the book, so you can check it out for yourself.
There are two books in this one little book: following after the Endnotes and References, are comments by the author on: God’s time, the “day”, the interpretation of the Holy, the Universe, the Earth and the author

Phillip Dean

Early in my college years, as I studied Historical Geology, I became confused as to why or how God created the things I handled and studied — all in six twenty-four hour days. I repeatedly read and prayed that God would show me the answers to the first chapter of Geneses. Then as I read the events of creation, I recognized that I had studies the same events in the Geology textbooks. Forty years later, I reduced this correlation into writing so that others may understand. May God forgive me for the delay. Renowned and highly recognized men that do great things are known for their achievements. Men that are an “unknown” and do great things for God, allow God to receive the honors. Such is the case of my Granddad, John V. Dean, a gentle pastor of a small country church. He is known only by the few that sat under his humble ministry — but over his lifetime, he influenced many church workers and seven Pastors who all promote the Salvation of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Bible and evolution completely contradicts each other. Genesis One proves it... for example... the Bible says, birds were created on Day 5 and reptiles were created on Day 6, BUT, evolution says, reptiles evolved into birds. There are many other differences. There's only one word that describes a professing Christian that also believes in Darwin's "theory" of evolution, and twists the words of Genesis 1 around to fit his own worldview... a HERETIC.

This book is dedicated to the readers of the Holy Bible. May this book enrich your faith in the Bible as God’s inspired Word

Many thanks to my family and friends for their support during times spent grueling through books, discussing the contents, writing, and rewriting this little book.

Thanks to the many readers who helped during the development. Without your critical comments, many problem areas might have been overlooked. All comments were fully reviewed and beneficial to this project. Much prayer and study has gone into this work to condense the volume without loss of content. There was delight and an uplifting of spirit with each answer to the many questions surrounding God’s creation. Therefore, your comments were very helpful.

Thank you.

Please Note: God’s plan for us is NOT dependent on our interpretation of the first chapter of the Holy Bible. It all depends on what we do with Jesus.

CREATION — GOD’S WAY

The First Chapter on Earth

The objective of this little book is to reduce the confusion about the first chapter of the Holy Bible. Over 400 years ago, as the power of the telescope opened up the heavens to the human eye, the understanding of the universe and the history of the earth begin to change. By worldwide observation of fossil records, patterns within the rock formation became apparent. With these observations, and a better understanding of the relationship between the past and present animal species, an apparent conflict develops between the Bible and what we see.

In this little book, the first chapter of Genesis and historical geology records are correlated together. There is no conflict between the Bible and the records in the rocks. Correlating the fossil records of the earth’s history with the precise record in Genesis reveals the inspiration from God to the author of Genesis.

This book has four distinct parts:

Part I – The Reason, For This Little Book — is an introduction to clarify the need for this correlation with comments on the purpose of the Bible, the inspiration of the Bible, and God’s interaction with time.

Part II — Day one through day seven is the correlation of the first chapter of Genesis with the historical geology records. The Biblical description of the sequence is followed by a quote or paraphrase from a historical geology reference, such as a textbook for uncomplicated reading. Additional Bible references and scientific findings follow to expand the description of each creation day. Comments are inserted to clarify the correlation between the Bible and the historical data. The objective is to keep it simple and present a vivid picture of what has happened. If you are not familiar with some of the terminology used in this section, please read on and I believe you will see the overall relationship to the Biblical account. This will increase your faith in God’s Holy Word. The accuracy of the writers without the knowledge of later discoveries validates the inspiration of the Bible from the creator.

Part III — The eighth day is future events quoted from the Bible with few comments. This is the Great Day of the Lord.

Part IV — After the Endnotes and References, there are additional comments — from the view point of the author — to aid in understanding this little book in relation to the interpretation of the First Chapter of Geneses.

The correlation of Historical Geology with the Holy Bible is in Part II. But each of these four part are different and will be informative if read alone.

The Reason for This Little Book

Acceptance of the Holy Bible by faith when secular evidence seems to contradict Bible teaching is challenging to the Christian life. It weakens our acceptance of not only the part in question, but also the very fundamental teachings of the Bible.

Acceptance of the Bible as the infallible Word of God may be difficult in the beginning of our Christian life. We may feel unsure at times about statements made in the Bible, but as these statements prove to be true, our confidence in the Bible as God’s inspired word will be more stable. Replace faith with knowledge and faith will increase in other areas. The Christian life will be strengthened. Knowledge validates faith and sets the mind
