Introduction

My life has been an unfoldment of Spiritual Awareness. All of my life I have been aware of Spirit, of that other world that exists alongside ours. There has been a constant feeling of wanting to reach out and touch Spirit.

My extra sensory perception started when I was very young at just three or four years old. I was already aware of Spirit being near to me wherever I went. At the age of seven, I realised that I could bring comfort to people just by touching them. At eight or nine, asleep in bed one night, I turned over to see a figure drawn in the air in the brilliant white light of a strange being. This I discovered years later was a spiritual symbol of the Apache Native American Indians. This was Spirit's way of making me aware of their presence and their ways of communicating in my very early life. Then, many years later, I had a ‘Spontaneous Awakening’. This is the highest honour that Spirit could bestow on me. It was given to me directly by high spiritual beings.

Since then I have seen energy, coloured energy and light. I have taken pain away, helped people heal and revived both people and animals. I have experienced a form of ‘psychokinesis’. I have told people their innermost thoughts about their life and relationships and that of their partners, family and friends. This was through the work of Spiritual Service for others to benefit and gain guidance. I try to prove to people that what I see is real. That they are radiant beings of light and colour. With this I try to bring reassurance. The many colour energies that I see, enable me to see your life and into your future.

My book is an account of the many Spiritual Experiences I have had over the years, during which I have been blessed with wonderful clairvoyant and prophetic knowledge of World Events and have given healing and mediumship to those in need. In this book I try to take you through the years of my own development and the realisation of the wonderful Gifts from Spirit that I have received. I reveal the extraordinary ways that Spirit have communicated with me, each one an adventure in itself. Spirit devised these to open up my own awareness of their many, varied abilities to communicate with me, but most important of all to share with you the proof of their love and compassion to help open your heart and mind to the existence and wonderful beauty of Spirit.

I am to be a Bridge between these worlds, the Physical and the Spiritual. One way to be this Bridge is to write this book, detailing the evidence and journeys on which my Spirit Guides take me. Another way is the Spiritual work that I do on a daily basis. A further very important way is to teach.

My mission is to teach:

- That Spirit exist

- That you have an aura and are spirit in a physical body

- That you can clear negative energy and create health

- The belief that love transcends all

- Energy never dies and is the key to our existence and health

- The discovery of your own psychic abilities

- The discovery of the ‘whole’ you

- How to bring fresh awareness and happiness into your life

- How to end the fear

When I explain what I see to someone in a Clairvoyant or Mediumistic reading, it often passes over people’s heads. This is because I tend to talk very fast when in my energy flow. The person receiving the reading, though often amazed at what I tell them, is more concerned with their immediate need than where this information is coming from. That is why, sometimes during but usually after my reading for them, I like to try to gently explain how it all worked, how special they are, that they are energy here and now. I do this in the hope it will open up their thinking and in this way they will be able to help themselves stay healthy and happy. With this book I can now go one step further. I can give people something in writing to see, analyse, think about and understand. Most of all, I hope it will allow them to enjoy the journey of my life's experiences that I have lived, surrounded by the loving trusted care of my Spirit Guides, my ‘Angels’.

My life is as simple as I can make it, but the book and its message are not simple. It is a whole, complete and profound message written with the beautiful gifts of intelligence, inspiration, compassion and love of my Guides in the Spirit World. These beautiful experiences are ‘too many’ to keep to myself any longer. My book is the sincere expression of my very earnest wish to share these wonderful Gifts from Spirit with others so that they can benefit and connect with them in a very moving and personal way.

In this book I try to show my life and Spiritual development through the many stages of change and growth that I have experienced, so that you can see you also are not alone in your struggles to succeed. I tell of my life from child to young adult and womanhood and how Spirit have been there with me, helping and empowering me to transform. I strive to show how, through the difficulties that I was able to surmount at school, work, and in our various businesses, especially our clairvoyant reading business which was built on faith in my Spirit Guides alone, that you too can achieve if only you allow yourself to embrace this same faith in Spirit and the belief in yourself that this will surely bring.

1. EARLY BEGINNINGS

The Clairvoyant Reading

Clairvoyance is of second sight

Of clarity and vision

We all walked down the street. My sister, her friends and I. I was seventeen and my sister’s friends were all in their twenties. When we arrived at the house, it was already getting dark outside. I hated the dark. It always scared me. I needed the light around me, especially in those days. I was very nervous. It was worse than going to the dentist for me. This was a challenge to face my biggest fear, to be close to the Spirit World, though I had never yet heard of that term then. I just knew it existed. The district I had travelled to was called Shirley, my natural first name. So it really was as if Shirley had come face to face with Shirley. I was destined to face my greatest fear, my own destiny with Spirit.

The clairvoyant’s house was small and cosy. She was a lady in her sixties with a warm welcoming smile and motherly way about her. Her husband was sitting watching the news, stroking their little dog sitting on his lap. Everything was peaceful and my nerves began to calm down as the first girl went in for her reading. Then it was my turn and my nerves went crazy all over again. In I went, like a lamb to the slaughter. This was a first for me. I had had gypsies knocking on the front door to have me cross their palms with silver, but never had I been to see a real gifted clairvoyant before. I kept telling myself, "Do stop worrying!" I had no idea that this meeting would change my view of spirit and the Spirit World. That although it did not dispel all of my childhood fears, it would greatly change my thinking and would open my world up to previously undreamed of possibilities, leaving me with a tremendous impression of another existence. I would remember this meeting for the rest of my life.

I walked into the room. The lady sat down and looked at me. She stared intently for a moment or two. I just looked awkwardly around the room. It was very dark now, outside. There were no streetlights on yet, or at least that seemed to be the case. Maybe she just did not have any streetlights outside her house, I thought. The moonlight shone over us because we were sitting right in front of the window and there were no lights on in the room. She then began to speak.

"You are a Fire Earth sign. More fire than earth. This means you are balanced. You are very strong but you do not have enough faith in yourself or your strength. You underestimate yourself terribly. You really do. I am going to tell you that you are very, very strong".

I just gulped. Me, strong? What was this she was telling me? She must be mad! I am terrified just sitting here. She stopped and looked around me. Her gaze paused in one direction and sort of locked on. She was looking at the far corner of the room. I looked too and at first saw nothing. Then, suddenly, I realised that there was a hooded figure. It was talking to her telepathically about me. Chills ran down my spine. I wanted to run but was frozen to the spot. I could not see this soul as you see in the normal sense. It was there in my mind’s eye. This was all so strange for me. Then she said,

You are just existing at the moment. Your life has not really yet begun.

Whatever did she mean? I had lived, gone to school and have my family. What did she mean? What was to come? She went on,

"You will have jobs and boyfriends, possibly four, but you will never start a deep relationship with them. In 18 months time, you will meet the man you will marry. He has a moustache and is a few years older than you. He has lightish colouring and he wears a cap.

How can you see him? I asked.

He is standing right beside you, she said. "You see, he is your kindred spirit and will never leave you in this life or any other. His spirit has always been with you. You will forget what I have said until you meet in the future."

What does this mean? I questioned. I was nervous before I came to this meeting but now I was so intrigued, I had to know more. She said he was my ‘soul mate’, that we have been together through many lives, will always be together and that he is special. At that moment I felt his presence and saw him in my mind. He was wearing a pale blue cap with a light check running through it. His hair was medium brown with light coloured eyes and a ginger brown moustache. He wore a navy blue jumper and trousers. I had been in a kind of daze while seeing this. Suddenly, I came back to what was going on around me. I knew in my heart that she was right. This is the man I will meet. I felt surrounded by love and protection. All my fear had gone. The room was full of people in spirit. I could feel and sense them. I felt peace.

"You will marry when you are 21 years old or shortly before and the number 21 will play an important part in your life from now on. You will see it on house doors, telephone numbers and other things that are important to you. It is your number now, you will see. You will do many things together and be happy. You will have children and so a family of your own. There will be parties for the family that you will hold and prepare and you will enjoy that very much. Giving is in your nature. You want to look after everyone. I see a building with white pillars. I think you live there. There is a lot of socialising going on there, too. You are a big part of that. It has patio doors. I see planes going off into the sky again and again - you will travel a lot all through your life. You will be healthy all through your life. You have great strength and determination. I know you do not feel this yet, but you will. A special cross and chain will be given to you by someone you love and this will be treasured by you, and there is a ring too. Everything I am saying to you will come true. With some people I am not sure, but for you it will all come true. All you need to do is have more faith in yourself and you will feel your strength. The man you meet is special for a reason. He is special because of and for you."

She paused. Then she looked at the figure in the corner trying to hide from my gaze because they did not want to frighten me or be seen by me. She seemed troubled. She looked back at me and said,

Oh, do not worry. You will be all right.

I knew she had seen some difficult times in my life that she and who ever it was in the corner did not feel I was to know about yet. Whoever was in the room with us, seemed to be in charge of what I was told and what was yet for me to discover or work through.

With that, the reading ended. I was completely blown away. I was speechless and still in this odd daze. I knew I had just experienced something very special and profound. I had learned so much but I could not take it all in. Someone up there thinks I am worthwhile. I had just touched the spirit world that I was terrified of and it was lovely. I still felt afraid as I came back down to reality. It all seemed too much. I could not explain to anyone that I had felt and sensed spirit in the same room as her. Who would believe me? Why was I told this in this way? Something had changed in my consciousness. I knew I was different. Excitement flooded in. God, what if she is right? How can she be wrong after what I felt in that room? My great insecurity changed to extreme happiness at the thought that I was to marry and have a life, after all. I had never thought I would marry anyone, I was so shy. It was as though I had won the lottery in the future but knew about it now. She made me realise that I should try to come out of my shell and find that strength she spoke of. I was so happy I could fly. The Spirit World wanted me to focus on my strengths, not my fears. Whoever they were, they cared.

As soon as we left her house, my sister's friends started chattering about what she had said. They were chatting away, not like me in a daze of enlightenment and deep thought. We all walked on to the bus stop. The streetlights were on now and the bus came so we all clambered aboard. When we sat down everyone wanted to know what she had said for me. They had been told everyday sort of things about where they worked or would work. Or what they would buy or where they would go to for their holidays. My sister had been told that she needed to look at people in a different way and give more in her dealings with people, that she was getting stressed at work and so on. I hardly knew where to begin. The noise of the engine made it difficult to be heard and my reading was too special to tell all. So I told them briefly, leaving out the bits about Spirit. I did not want to be laughed at. As I repeated what she had said, I realised how special my reading was. Somehow, I knew she was right about my life to be. I also knew she was a special clairvoyant and that what had happened in that room was more than a reading. It was an awakening to the existence of Spirit that I had been hiding from all my life, always afraid and in fear of Spirit appearing or hearing them speak to me but not seeing them. All sorts of thoughts would enter my head. Some of these thoughts were fears that children dream up, but I held an inner knowing that terrified me. The reading I had just experienced confirmed that my fears had not been groundless. Spirit existed to others and not just in my head. But the wonderful thing was that they loved me.

Spirit wanted to help me grow and mature, to have hope and confidence in my life and myself. I knew it had been my own Guardian Angel in that room telling the lady clairvoyant all this information. I felt this Spirit, my Guardian Angel, was not of my family. The Spirit had been in the far corner of the room watching and communicating with the clairvoyant. The clairvoyant trusted what the Spirit said to be true for me. What a wonderful experience to have! I could not take it in. I knew now that stories about ghosts frightening people could not be true or at least there was another side to the story that I was being shown. Although I was still very afraid of Spirit, I did feel more at ease now. Someone up there cared about me, almost in a motherly, very protective way. I was confused, elated, hopeful and empowered at the same time.

Kindred Spirit

Time went by and I started to grow into a young woman and enjoy all that entails: dressing up and buying clothes each and every week, wearing make-up and totally enjoying the admiring glances and encounters with the opposite sex. I went out regularly with my elder sister and some of my own friends. The thoughts of Spirit and the clairvoyant reading receded into a forgotten memory as I began to enjoy the freedoms of my young adult life.

Then one day, after having a disagreement with a friend, my sister Christine asked me to go out with her that night to a discotheque. It was the last thing that I wanted to do, but she nagged me relentlessly until, being the unselfish person that I was, I agreed. We went out to a night-club in Birmingham that we had been to before.
