In a society that despises everything that has just passed, old and withered, maintain a youthful appearance for as long as possible becomes the categorical imperative. The aging goes hand in hand with decreased vision, hearing acuity, the immediate memory, the ability of fast learning, some cardiac and renal yet it is commonly experienced as negative because it implies loss and graying of hair, sagging features of the face, loss of mobility, loss of sexual power. Nothing more accelerates the process of aging that fear itself! Until yesterday you were young and then crack, someone or something makes us feel that no one is more, you begin to feel that feeling of indefinable malaise, that subtle depression that are there to accentuate the crisis. The mirror we see a picture of us focused, saddened, preoccupied as it is to spy on the first appearance of blemishes and wrinkles first begins the frantic search for the best cosmetics, the famous drug shock, of tanning fake that is supposed to rejuvenate : is the rooting of seed age on ground already prepared to receive him. It is certainly not the way it is dealt with the problem, we must first clarify take stock of the situation, and deal with the serenity tomorrow, with all the possibilities that conventional medicine holds. In other words, it was found that the centenarians what they think of your health, your well-being and family and social support network around them, has more levels of pressure or blood sugar and is more correlated with the survival rate. The personality seems to be a fundamental because it determines the way in which the centenarians adapt to stress and change, affecting the ability to be happy and relaxed even in old age. Centenarians healthier are the most open and happy. The mind affects the body as much as the body affects the mind and therefore a correct approach to health management can only tend to treat both aspects. The ancients knew well (mens sana in corpore sano) and we modern
instead we forget too often.
SLOW THE AGING
Although aging cannot be stopped, much can be done to slow it down. Currently the secret to staying young is in our genes. But there is still a limit to the genetic modification to increase the life. Scientists have discovered genes that regulate apoptosis (suicide
phone) and are able to extend to about 30% of the life of mice. We hope that in the future DNA research give formidable results. Studies have shown that cancer cells probably because the enzyme telomerase, these same cells become immortal
, no longer subject to the aging process. This enzyme prevents the progressive reduction of the telomere (the
