      This innocent act of loving, a weak façade’s faint covering

      Asking so innocently what it is you have—

      what you will show me

      It’s only you that I’m needing,

      though my love may be misleading

      I know you could hear my pleading,

      pleading with my apathy

      And so, you shall scorn me sinfully,

      my virgin hand deceived

      marring me eternally

      I to the sun you’re comparing and so selfishly declaring

      that I can’t appreciate the god

      that god has given me

      But I find it quite puzzling,

      with kiss and touch and faint nuzzling,

      from Nature’s sentiment we were guzzling

      fuzzying fruits of empathy

      I forever hide my need for the scent of

      life’s sweet potpourri

      bidding you return to me

      You would pull my hands from my mask

      but you would dare not even ask

      maybe I see something ever worth bowing before
