The Reality of Digestive Dysfunction
Jennifer nervously sat tapping her feet in the exam room of the gastroenterologist’s office. As she glanced at the closed door, she hoped that after having waited for 45 minutes in the outer lobby, she wouldn’t have to run to the bathroom before the physician arrived. Three months after receiving the standard irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) recommendations from her gastroenterologist, she still had little relief from her bowel symptoms of diarrhea, pain and discomfort. As she perched on the edge of her chair, she couldn’t help
