Dana Tebow is no stranger to the any form of diabetic diet as she was diagnosed with type II diabetes in her adult life. She went through many nutritionists in her quest to find the right diet for her, one that she knew that she would be able to stick to without any challenges. After a lengthy process she was introduced to the vegan diet.
She was a bit out off at first but soon discovered that it was really beneficial not only to control the level of glucose in the blood but she also discovered that some studies indicate that the vegan diet can lower the occurrence of cardiovascular disease in diabetics.
Dana is aware that some people may be as put off as she was initially but assures the readers that a seamless transition can be made from their former to the more healthy vegan diet if they do it in stages and not all at once.
The recipes are just as tasty as the regular ones were but without all of the saturated fats and cholesterol that is bad for the health. She even has a bonus chapter which outlines some of her favorite dishes that readers can try out for themselves.
Mary Lime is all too familiar with the process of careful selection of what she eats as she is gluten intolerant like other members in her household. As such the transition had to be made by all to a diet free from gluten to keep the possibility of cross contamination at zero.
