The fourth and last book to the 'Above The Line' series, ending another season in the lives of the (ongoing) characters from Karen Kingsbury's writings. Her works are no different from watching a family-oriented television series whereby one follows the characters development over the years. As always, her writings cannot be read without tissues on hand -- that's what makes them so very good -- because they are so real, so relateable.

How can I write a review when it feels like I am saying goodbye to my family? I truly can't without tears in my eyes! Once again, Karen Kingsbury has concluded another one of her wonderful Life-Changing Fiction and it will be forever in my mind, soul and heart. In this amazing conclusion to Above the Line series, we get glimpses of the past and the future in these families. On top of all that we feel God's arms wrap around us and promise us wonderful new things, evening if we have to say goodbye when it hurts more than anything. I truly loved the Ellison family's story in this book, as well as Bailey and Cody's struggles. I just didn't want this to end at all! By the end of this powerful book I had tears in my eyes and, deep down in my heart, I know that we will get glimpses of these amazing characters in Karen's future books. I just don't want to wait that long. Again, a strong and powerful book written by a woman that God guides her hands, we see the messages of redemption, faith unshattered and hope for a brighter tomorrow. I love that and I know that you will too. When I reached the end of the book, I felt hope for a brighter tomorrow. Hope that I can rise above any storm with God by my side and be a better person for it. Thank you, Karen, for that! Please, read Take Four. I recommend this book with 5 stars and two thumbs to you. It is best if you read it in the series but if not, please read it....especially if you are going through a hard time right now. It will show you that YOU are bigger than any storm with God on your side! I am anxiously awaiting October's arrival for the release of Unlocked, Karen Kingsbury's next release with hope that we will get a glimpse of the families I have come to think of as my own!

This is a good and expected ending to her Above the Line series with Andi struggling with her decision to give her baby up for adoption. Bailey's and Cody's relationship is put on hold due to circumstances in their lives with Bailey starring in the movie Unlocked with Brandon Paul and Cody having to deal with his mother's relapse. This is a good introduction to her new series about Bailey and Cody.

Another really good story in this series! Keith and Dayne are in the process of making their next movie, 'Unlocked" and have casted a well known actor Brandon Paul, and a first time actress Bailey Flanigan. Brandon sets his sights on Bailey at the very beginning, but Bailey's only interest in Brandon is to see him come to know the Lord. Bailey's heart belongs to Cody and Cody has loved Bailey from a distance for years. It looks like their love is finally here to stay; but Cody's mom gets in trouble again with drugs and Cody must make some tough decisions. Then there is Andi, Keith's pregnant, unwed daughter. The decisions she makes in this book are very difficult, but VERY well written! I had tears in my eyes by the time I finished and was so disappointed that the ending did not resolve an issue in the story. But. . . it will definately keep me waiting impatiently for the next series of books to come out. Karen Kingsbury does such a good job of making the people in her stories real folks that you would love to meet some day.
