Trains of Thought

About this ebook
This collection of poems by Jill Martin offers impressions and reactions to the ordinary as well as the extraordinary. Subjects range from death to the January Sales, from nature's beauty to party wear.
The deceptively clever use of language makes for a blend of easily absorbed verses that entertain and, maybe, open a few avenues of thought in the process.
Jill Martin
I am a retired music teacher with four books out there: a book of poems exclusive to Smashwords (see below), a music text book, the biography of a Czech man who arrived in England in 1938 to flee the Nazis, and one children's novel, 'Eric and Thickpea', about a street urchin in London and his pet rat. I also belong to Chapeltown Writers, a small group of amateur writers in Sheffield. We write all sorts of pieces in a variety of styles, and love every minute of it!
