- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5For the most part, I found this book to be informative and helpful. It was a quick read - got through the entire book in a matter of minutes. It seemed to cover all the important aspects of writing a technical article, including the pre-writing and outline process, performing research, drafting (writing the article) and then the final editing and proofreading of the piece. It went on to suggest having others critique your work and to invite helpful criticism when possible. One thing that confused me a bit, though, was the author's saying that the conclusion of the book was the writer's chance to put forth their opinion of the subject they covered. They had clearly stated in the beginning that technical writing was fact only material and not a place where one would be subjective. To then turn around and promote this at the end threw me for a loop.
Overall, I enjoyed the read and would recommend it to those considering such writing. I look forward to reading more from the "How To" series on different topics. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Bonne première approche pour qui ne sait pas comment rédiger un texte de communication technique!
