Aidan Stone

Aidan took his first job at the age of eleven, shining shoes in the local barbershop. Some of the stories he heard there would make fine books. He broke his back at meaningless tasks until 1992. Aidan found art in 1992, several media of art. As one of the lucky few who managed to make a living as an artist, Aidan enjoyed himself until 2009. That's when Aidan threw a hissy fit! He swore never to work in those media again. After the boredom of retirement set in, someone he trusted suggested he try his hand at writing. Aidan began to write Reah Leah the White-From Cat to Queen, which quickly became a trilogy because of his propensity for long-winded stories. A teller of tall tales, Aidan imagines himself surrounded by friends telling bawdy tales of the past.

    Introduction

By The Last Year of the Lords, Aelfyce has been through many changes. Several different factions have brought them. The Cipartie fostered and nurtured it, the Brissack dominated it, humans invaded it, and Wess freed it from the Brissack because of his love for Reah Leah and his empathy for the common people. Now, all he and Reah Leah have to do is fight a war to give those people their freedom.

Book 1 introduced several characters and established a basic time line that spans thousands of years. Some of the characters are well developed; others remained less so until books two and three. I did that on purpose, hopefully, to embed some mystery into my story.

In book 2, you will meet many new characters, all of whom will have their part of the story to tell. You will find inconsistencies that I put there on purpose, along with clues for you to theorize why they exist. The reason for their existence becomes evident in book 3.

None of the sexual content in any of the three books was written for a specific gender or partner gender preference. Sexual adventures of many types appear throughout the trilogy; however, book 1 was just the beginning. Do not make the mistake of thinking that any of the characters in book 1 have fully explored their sexual limits. Some characters' sexual preferences change because of events that occur in this book and book 3.

Many critics disagree about the way parts of the human anatomy should be referred to during sexual encounters, as they often disagree about a multitude of other things. In the year 2013, on the planet Earth, I personally do not know anyone who prefers to speak to his or her lover with such esoteric terms as glistening mound, snowcapped peaks, or fervent manhood. I shall not do so—not by a long shot!

    Some very important information

Reah Leah's story continues at a large gathering of people who recall the events of The Last Year of the Lords to two unidentified individuals. Everyone gathered is extremely angry with those two individuals for reasons yet to be disclosed. Those gathered have—also for a reason yet to be disclosed—intimate knowledge of each other's thoughts, actions, and feelings in the past.

Individuals speak in the first person about events of the past. Each has his or her favorite part of the story to tell or is asked by the previous individual to continue the tale. They all recount the story using three forms of communication: the spoken word and two forms of telepathy.

When a speaker refers to the comments made in the past by another individual using the spoken word, those comments appear in plain type surrounded by quotation marks.

This is what you will see, when speakers refer to a spoken-word statement made by another individual or themselves.

There are two types of telepathy. The first is referred to as mind talk and the second as the bond. Both types of telepathy appear surrounded by quotation marks in italics.

This is what you will see when they refer to a statement by another individual or themselves, using either form of telepathy.

The bond, and mind talk will be identified before they occur, so that you will know the difference. However, if you pay close attention, you may note the bonds true origin and have a clue about how it becomes so prevalent by The Year of the People 36.

Many people speak, and the change of speakers at times is rapid; therefore, I have included the use of the * symbol to acknowledge those changes.

    * The symbol will appear at the top of the paragraph, on the left-hand side of the page, just as it does in this line of text. When the speakers change, it will occur again.

    * Every time you see a paragraph began like this, the speaker has changed.

Reah Leah, for the most part, leads the exchange of speakers. However, we cannot expect her to be in complete control of everyone at the gathering. Others interject comments about what is presently being said, or offer their opinions about something someone else said previously. Usually, that will happen in a separate line beginning with the *. Sometimes, the statements made by characters are short enough to be pushed together. This is what that looks like:

*This author must be out of his mind! * I think he is nuts! *It might work!

The longer statements appear with each having its own line space.

*It is either going to work very well, or be a complete disaster!

*Hopefully, it will impart the feeling of a story being told in a gathering, or this guy is nuts to try it.

I hope that I am not nuts and you will be able to follow what is happening and feel as though you are there at the gathering. Think of yourself sitting on an extremely large patio, sipping on some very fine wine and listening to their story.

If you have not already done so, please return to Important Information and read it.

    Chapter 1

Some Lived, Some Learned, and Some Died.

Midday, March 12th Year of the People 36

    * It's time to continue the story; sit where you were and keep your mouths shut. Your curiosity has caused us all enough problems, now you'll listen to the truth! Wesley, tell them what happened the next day.

    * First, let me say this: you two have a problem that is threefold. The first part of your problem is your curiosity about other people's sexual habits. You will listen, and listen closely, when we speak about sex, or the forming of the Senate. If you don't, you will leave here without stones, or your magic!

I was still asleep when someone screamed into my mind. Help us! I knew it was Simon. I sprung from the bed while transferring my clothing on and immediately moved to the front door of Simon's inn. Even from outside the door I knew there were four wielders inside. I could feel Simon's mind and the pain coming from it. I quickly brought up a shield and walked through the door. One held Audrey’s face flat against a table. Two more were holding Simon while the last of them was burning him with small wielding’s of fire.

I sent my shield out, stabbed each of them through the head, and watched with satisfaction as their bodies fell to the floor. Simon was hurt severally, burned several times on his face and body, so I walked behind the bar, and laid him on the floor. One at a time, I healed each of his wounds. Simon was unconscious when I was done so I turned to Audrey for answers. She was on the floor scratching madly at the man who had held her. His face was shredded and flesh clogged her nails. I had to speak firmly to get her attention. Audrey, I'm sure the man is dead now! She stood and kicked him several times in the chest, and then rushed to Simon before I could question her.

Reah Leah transferred to my side just then and I was glad she hadn't come earlier. I transferred the stones from the wielder's chests onto the bar, while Reah Leah ran to Audrey's side. I heard the unusual sound of the lourack battle growl behind me and turned to see two men. Both were lourack, with deep black fur. One man's arm was broken and they were both beaten. I moved to the man with the broken arm, transferred the bones into the correct position, and touched the ends of them with the least healing necessary to knit them together before looking at their battered faces. I spoke quietly to them and told them I couldn't expend the energy to heal their other wounds. They spoke in unison, saying, Save your energy for them, Wesley. I nodded and returned to Simon, where I knelt over his body and asked, What did they want? Simon's reply chilled me to the bone. You! Simon, tell them why they did that.

    * Wesley hadn't considered what our association with him might cost us and he wondered how many others who couldn't defend themselves would suffer similar fates. Reah Leah must have been listening to his mind because she snatched up the power stones from the bar and shook them in his face. I knew he couldn't make everyone on Aelfyce a wielder, but a contingent of those he knew he could trust, well, that was another thing!

    * Brendon, you were snooping in on all of it, tell them what happened after that.

    * After extensive debate, Simon and Audrey agreed to allow him to implant stones they could use for their protection. When Wesley insisted Reah Leah do the same, she bowed her head to him and said, Yes Venggah. He searched through the stones on the bar, found transfer stones, and earth stones for Simon and Audrey. Wesley had them lay on the bar, flat on their backs, and quickly implanted the stones. For Reah Leah he chose earth and fire and implanted them next to her transfer stone.

Four healing stones, four power stones and two transfer stones remained. Wesley turned to the two lourack who had watched the process with interest and asked their names. The man whose arm had been broken replied, I'm Lem Rie, King Wesley. The other said, I'm Ter Na, King Wesley. Wesley told them not call him king again and asked whether they would accept the stones. They moved quietly to the bar and lay down on the remaining space. Wesley implanted both healing stones first and initiated their power himself. He implanted the power and transfer stones linking the bonds securely.

Five unconscious people lay on the bar and Wesley didn't expect them to regain consciousness for a few hours. He invaded Simon’s kitchen and began to prepare the food he knew they would need when they woke. Simon was the first to wake and began to wolf down eggs and biscuits as though they were his first meal in weeks. Wess watched him with some amusement, until he heard Audrey's mind. Save some for me you big lout! When they had all awoken, and were stuffing food in their faces as fast as they could swallow it, Wess began to laugh aloud and spoke to all their minds. This looks more like a pig’s trough than an inn! Reah Leah and Audrey stuck their tongues out at him. Simon exclaimed that Wesley's platter always managed to come back empty. Lem Rie and Ter Na just shrugged and kept eating.

Wesley touched each of their minds, warning them to take small steps while learning to use the stones before showing them all images of him lying on the floor of the small cave as the huge tree crashed into the rocks in front of it.

Ibex touched his mind and said, Show them an image of my lair. If other wielders attack, they should transfer here. I will welcome the wielders who oppose them in my own way! Wess showed them all the image of Ibex's lair and told them to transfer there if they needed to. Then, he said good-bye to Reah Leah and transferred himself to his noon meeting with Jonas.

Jonas was in awe of Wesley, because of the way he had himself announced, and the way he had cut down Malcolm’s sycophants before killing Malcolm. What he did to the damned priest had scared the hardiest of the wielders. They had watched him destroy shield stones and wield metal, something none of them could do. Jonas had tested him, and found that Wesley would show humor, something no lord high wielder before him had ever displayed. In addition, Jonas believed Wess hadn't lied to him when he promised the average person would have a voice. He had climbed from his bed that morning, eager to meet the new day for the first time in years.

After collecting an egg in the barracks kitchen and sliding it between two pieces of bread, Jonas went to the supply room and requisitioned an officer’s uniform for his new king. Jonas continued to the cartographers and the clerk of records to collect everything King Wesley had asked for. After that, he made a stop to collect something Wesley hadn't asked for—the records of the treasury! Jonas had a feeling that, when Wesley saw those, things would change dramatically, and quickly.

When Jonas arrived in the banquet hall, the bodies of all those his new king had killed lay in a neat line, each of them covered with a visible barrier of energy. He laid the records and the clothing on the high table and wondered whether Wess’s sack actually was made of iron.

Jonas reflected on his common upbringing as a smith's son. His father had pounded out swords on the forge until the work killed him. He remembered his mother taking her life, rather than live without his father and the small stack of coins she left on the table for him to find. That night, he burned the forge and the house to the ground. He left with nothing but his fathers' finest sword and a keen knowledge of swordplay. The next week, he enlisted in Adrian's army as a common soldier and fought his way slowly but steadily to the top.

    * The two of you seem to think you know what I was feeling, because you've listened to other people talk. I'm going to tell you the truth; it isn't like anything you've heard.

When I arrived at the banquet hall, the scene was completely different from the night before. The food was gone and the tables pushed to the walls except the one at which Malcolm had died. Jonas was staring out the window in thought. When I approached, he turned, bowed deeply at the waist and said, Good day my King. I wanted to puke and told Jonas it was unnecessary to call me by any title unless the situation called for it. I saw the clothing on the table and Jonas’s reluctance to speak.

Without a word, I transferred my common clothing off, kept my short clothes and boots, and transferred the new clothing on. I realized the clothing was the uniform of an officer; it was the same dark gray as Jonas’s but void of all insignia. After I realized that, I snatched a thread from one of the golden drapes near the window and wove an image of the setting sun on the sides of the collar. Jonas spoke to me with admiration. They suit you well, Wesley! I was about to insist on Wess, when I realized it was probably of no use, everyone was going to call me Wesley.

Jonas showed me a map of the main continent and outlying islands, and the records of who owned what land. When Jonas showed me the accounts of the treasurer, a clear picture began to form. Malcolm had taken large amounts of coin from the church and doled out generous sums to various wielders. To my relief only one had been among the former lord wielders. I told Jonas I wanted an unedited copy quickly. Jonas advised me the one I held was the original and that any subsequent copies might be of no use.

When I told Jonas I would like to take a walk through the streets of New Kent, I thought he would shit himself! He looked back at me as though I were insane and began to speak. Are you sure that's a wise idea my Kin— Jonas caught himself and looked up. His face broke into a devilish grin and he said, Where shall we go, Wesley? I told him I would like to go to the finest seamstress in New Kent, because I wished to have some clothes made for my Venggah. That time, the look on Jonas's face was utter disbelief!

    * You're damn right it was and that time I almost did shit myself. I watched Wesley look through all the documents and noted his keen interest in the treasurer's accounts. Wesley did indeed shock me when he insisted we would walk in public and had nearly knocked me off my feet when he said, Venggah. I felt Wesley enter my mind again, but he wasn't speaking to me, he was showing me an image of a beautiful young Cynn. I knew I absolutely had to be there the first time that Wesley brought her into any kind of court setting. I would give a year's wages to see the look of apoplexy on the faces of the gentry.

Wait, that is important to remember. Wesley showed me an image of Reah Leah!

I led Wesley down the front steps of the palace and a squad of guards fell in behind us. When Wesley turned and dismissed them, I knew I was standing next to both, the most dangerous and safest man on Aelfyce. The guards looked to me for approval and I had been quick to reprimand them. He's the King and you'll follow his orders, or I'll gut you like fish! I led Wesley through the streets of New Kent and enjoyed his discomfort as endless people knelt in front of him, until finally Wesley spoke to my mind. Stop them from doing that, or I'll make one of your feet larger than the other.

    * I wasn't sure whether I could actually do that, but it had the desired effect on Jonas. He immediately began making a gesture that kept people from kneeling in front of me. A serious look came over his face as we walked and he set me straight about a few things when he spoke. Wesley, what you said last night had the effect you desired, however, there are things you must let happen naturally. Many wielders look to the lord wielders for guidance, you cannot summarily strip their titles from them without causing dissension between the less powerful wielders. It's a privilege to call you by your name, but you are the king and hold the power of that office. Even though I've only known you since last evening, I believe in you or I wouldn't say these things. Let others call you by any name you wish, but never let them forget you hold the authority you claimed last night. It's necessary that you be their king first, before you become anything other than that to the wielders or the people. Simply put, I think you must maintain the status quo for now. A gentle current, will wash a rock clean, but a raging torrent erodes the banks. I've seen powerful wielders before, but no one has ever seen the likes of you. Last night, you frightened them all, but there are those among them you can trust. I'll do anything you ask of me and help you in every way I can. I would see you succeed, Wesley.

When we were in front of the seamstress's shop, Jonas touched my arm and pointed to his head. I touched his mind and said, Is there a problem Jonas? Jonas replied, "The women inside, will consider making clothing for a lourack beneath their station. You'll have to act very much the king to force them to do so. Even the finest gown is worth no more than a silver crown and they will try to overcharge you. Speak to them as though you are above them and use the full power of your station. The respect you need to do the things you wish will start here."

When we walked inside, a woman who introduced herself as Tina greeted us eagerly. She was a reubenesque woman with red hair, green eyes, and a pair of the largest tits I had ever seen.

    * Hummph, I'm surprised you noticed my eyes at all, considering where yours were looking.

    * I noticed Jonas staring at the woman and spoke to him, I take it then that you've been here before? Jonas said nothing; he just kept staring at her tits so I spoke to Tina. I'll have you make some clothing for my Venggah! She recoiled from me immediately and said she didn't make clothing for lourack. I spoke quietly and sternly, saying, I didn't ask you whether you would. I told you that you will! She drew her shoulders back and was sucking in enough air to tell me off, when Jonas stepped in. He spoke calmly and quietly also and said to her, Be careful madam, you speak to your king!

After that exchange, I made a show of transferring Reah Leah's blue stada onto my arm. I held it out to her and said, The clothing will be for a woman of this size. You'll make four gowns, one white, one pale yellow, one pale blue, and another pale green. They will be fit for a queen, they will be made from your finest cloth, and they will be the finest clothing you've ever sewn. I could see she was trying to find a way out of doing as I asked, until she managed to speak. They will cost at least seventy silver a piece to accommodate her tail. I laughed politely into the cuff of my jacket and spoke sternly to her. They will cost four silver crowns in total and they will be the finest you've ever made! If they are, you'll be invited to court, and if they aren't, things may fall apart for you. I pointed to her tits and transferred away the thread that held the dress together in the center, several inches. Those giant tits were unleashed and splashed out into full view.

    * Hmmph, neither of you looked away.

    * She wasn't as unsettled as I had hoped for and covered them with her hands. I asked her whether we had a deal and she nodded without speaking. Jonas stepped forward, bowed at the waist, and said, I would be most honored to escort you madam! Her cheeks blushed, until they were as red as an apple. She smiled at Jonas, and curtsied to us, before she ran through the curtain into the back room. After we left, I slapped Jonas on the shoulder and said, I think there was more than one deal struck in there! Jonas grinned like a teenage boy who had taken his first peep under a blouse.

    * I didn't run; I walked slowly and with pride!

    * I guess that's true enough. If you had run, then the next time I saw you, you would've had two black eyes!

    * You can be such a frustrating man, Wesley!

    * Tina, there's something I must know. Why were you so embarrassed when Jonas bowed to you?

    * Reah Leah, it had nothing to do with them seeing my tits. When I was a little girl, I would see Jonas going about his duties. He wasn't a General yet, but he commanded such respect. I loved the way his black hair swept back and all of those muscles. I was so young; it was nothing more than a crush. However, over the years I kept seeing him tumbling me, in my mind. He had a healing stone, but I had none. He remained the same handsome man, while my body grew old enough, to approximate the age his looked. I was chubby and such beautiful women always surrounded him. I was wise enough to know that it was nothing more than a fantasy, even when my fingers were between my legs thinking about him. That day, if only for an instant, when Wesley opened my blouse I saw Jonas looking at me with desire. Embarrassment wasn't what flushed my face, the short spark of desire I saw in Jonas's eyes caused it. The idea that a fantasy could come to life made me horny, not embarrassed. When they left, I locked the door and you know what I did then. When Jonas returned alone, to offer me a formal invitation I was so glad he made it brief. Again, I locked the door quickly.

    * Returning was the smartest thing I've done in my life, my love. As you know now, those skinny little bitches at the palace meant nothing to me. I'm surprised that in all of those years, you never noticed that I was looking back at you. An officer in the Guard would cause himself trouble if he involved himself with the gentry. Of course, there were places Adrian's Guard could frequent to relieve themselves. However, I often thought about how good it would be to have a woman that I could call mine. Tina, there were probably nights when you were busy with your fingers, thinking of me, as I imagined my hand to be you. At any rate, we'll discuss this later, let Wesley continue.

    * As we were nearing the palace, I saw what had to be the barracks for the army. They were my army! I asked Jonas to take me to see the barracks and the men. The soldiers were housed well, had a separate kitchen and there was a huge stable. I told Jonas that I would like to see his quarters and he led us to them smiling.

He had no idea what I intended to do! When we arrived, I saw that it was a simple office leading into a comfortable bedchamber. I took the chair in front of the Jonas's desk and motioned for Jonas to sit down in his. A fine sword broken in two, hung in a frame above his head and I asked him about it. With some reluctance, Jonas told me the story of his upbringing. When I asked him how the sword had become broken, Jonas told me a tale of a fight with the church's army. Jonas viewed the sword with some remorse and told me he would give a year's pay if it were whole again.

After that, I reached out to the large pile of transfer and power stones in Ibex's cave and transferred a pair of them to the desk. The shock on his face was real, when he told me soldiers were forbidden to have anything more than a healing stone. I smiled at him deviously and asked. Forbidden by whom? Jonas had begun to speak; Forbidden by the Lord High Wiel— Then, his smile became as devious as mine was. I asked Jonas whether he wanted them and he said, Like the breath of life itself my Kin—Wesley! Many times I would have preferred to be somewhere other than where I was.

I explained to him what would happen after he woke and transferred some food I had seen in the chow hall to the table beside the bed. Jonas walked outside and spoke sternly to a soldier on guard duty outside his quarters. He told the man that he wasn't to be disturbed until the following morning. When he returned, Jonas lay down on the bed and unbuttoned his jacket and shirt. Once he was ready, I touched his mind, implanted both stones, and tied the bonds tightly. I waited for a few moments to make sure Jonas was all right, while snooping through his possessions to see what I could learn from them.

I had watched Jonas draw his sword against the church soldiers, though I was sure Jonas had known he was outmanned. I was sure Jonas would make an excellent ally in what was to come and wanted to be sure of his allegiances. Just before I left, I saw the broken sword above his desk. The scrolling and the craftsmanship made me certain his father had made my sword. I took the two halves from where they rested and felt deep into the metal. The smallest of air bubbles existed in the metal and no doubt, when struck there it had broken. I wielded the metal of the sword for some time, making sure that each tiny fold in the steel melded back together exactly where they started. I set the sword on Jonas's desk and walked outside.

Outside, I motioned for the guard and warned him again that no one was to enter until he came out. The soldier bowed at the waist and said, As you command my King. I walked away in the general direction of the palace steps, until I noticed the large stone abutments that led to each side of them. I transferred the bodies in the banquet hall to the abutment and reinforced the shields around them. I had seen the images in Reah Leah's mind, of a naked woman hanging from the bridge in the distance. I didn't intend to make such a gross spectacle of it but I thought, perhaps, those bodies encased in energy would serve as a warning.

At that point, Ibex touched my mind and showed me an image of the former slaves clearing away unwanted vegetation and vines from their new home. They do not know whom to thank for their freedom and many of them wish to see their mates before they die! I transferred to a small clearing in front of the fort, where many men were outside working and they looked at me with questioning eyes. A battered and scarred man with long black hair and beard stepped forward, and introduced himself as Terry.

When I spoke my name in return, many of them turned and looked to the west toward the gate. Terry admitted that they knew they were sick and any prolonged contact with their loved ones would make them sick too. I explained to them any images I could take from their minds would be several months old and that I couldn't transfer their mates through time. Many of them were heartbroken at the news and seemed to fold into themselves.

I took Terry aside and asked whether there was enough to eat. He said there were fruits and vegetables, but little meat. Ibex put an image in my mind of several bullocks and I transferred one to the clearing, removing its brain in the process. While the others rejoiced, I looked into Terry's chest and found that he had both, a healing stone and a power stone. I brought up the power of the bond again and put a small piece of it in Terry's mind before I spoke to him. I don't know any way to remove the sickness yet, but I'll search for one and come back if I find it. When you require additional meat or any other supplies, think of my face and push out to me with your mind! I could see images of cooking pans and dishes in Terry's mind and wielded them from the rock while he watched. He expressed his gratitude and I was about to transfer to the Brissack mine when Ibex's voice reached me. Do not go there, Wesley, you do not wish to see what happened underground! I stood where I was and imagined men of both races trapped under the fallen metal and debris. As I did, Ibex spoke to me again. Yes, collateral damage, do not go there!

It was late; I took Ibex's advice to heart, transferring myself back to the doorway in front of Simon's inn. The many minds I felt present inside the inn, shocked me, and I was glad I hadn't tried to transfer inside. There had to be at least twenty people inside and transferring into the middle of that crowd could have ended in disaster at the time. When I entered, the scene that unfolded in front of me was amazing. All those I had given an earth stone to that morning, had practiced their wielding by flattening the rocks of the rough floor until they were smooth and the joints fit perfectly. The rocks of the hearth and the stairs that led up were all as smooth as glass.

The inside of the inn was beautiful! So were the lourack women in the crowd, at least six of them were almost solid white. The dye on their fur was fresh and the look on their faces told me they were scared. They stood clinging to human men, one of whom was a wielder. I eyed the man suspiciously, until he bowed at the waist and said, I'm Reed, second son of Albert! I looked into Reed’s chest and saw the stones there, healing, power, transfer, and fire. The fire stone was small and I doubted it would generate any large wielding. I spoke to his mind with a tight focus. I'm Wesley, the fool who will try to change this world. Reed spoke back to me. You are hardly a fool my King, and you've already begun to change Aelfyce! I spoke out loud to the entire crowd. I swear the next person who calls me King, my Lord, or anything else like it, is going to take a long swim in the Eiger River!

The crowd was well on their way to utter drunkenness and raised their glasses to toast. Hail, Wesley! I spotted Reah Leah and a small crowd of people, obviously trying to hide something. She looked guilty and I motioned for the crowd to disperse. There, clinging to the leg of a solid gray lourack was a child. The girl was a hybrid between human and lourack and she was terrified of me. Her fur was gray with tan stripes and it didn't cover her face as completely as Reah Leah's did. Her feet looked human and the fur on her legs ended midway at her calf. She was a beautiful child and I was curious why she was so terrified.

The woman began to weep hysterically, begging me not to destroy the child. I had to look to Reah Leah for an explanation. No child of mixed race has ever been allowed to live. Please don't destroy the child! The woman looked at me, utter fear in her eyes and said she would service me in the roughest ways I chose, at any time I chose. I spoke out loud to her, making sure the crowd could hear me. I have no intention of destroying your child and I don’t think either of our Venggah would appreciate my taking your body. The child is a portrait of the future. I'm sure that in a few generations the land will be covered with the offspring of love between lourack and human! The woman ran and clung to my chest, sobbing out her gratitude, and I watched as a large man who stood behind her slid a long dagger back into its sheath, his eyes brimming with tears. The crowd erupted in another course of Hail, Wesley, and Simon pushed a large glass of rye whiskey into my hand.

    * I was certain that you wouldn't harm her, somehow I knew you were different the moment we met you. Wesley drank sparingly from the rye and considered the scene in front of him. They looked to him for hope and change and all of them were in danger because of it. He spoke to the crowd at large and told them that the next morning he would implant stones in them all so they might transfer if they were in danger. Everybody there looked at him with gratitude, especially the former Cynn! After he had eaten, he took a very drunken Reah Leah by the arm and transferred away.

    * Do you want to talk about this, Reah Leah? *Nope!

    * I took my besotted Venggah to the edge of the bed and removed her boots. As I began to untie her stada, she gave me a shock. I could feel her mind reeling, as she said, Yes strip me naked, I want to feel your cock in me everywhere! Fuck my mouth, fuck my pussy, fuck me in the ass, squeeze my tits until I scream and beg for you to come! I was stunned and said to her, All this time I have been trying to learn your words for sex, and now you use mine. Reah Leah replied, The words I have known since I was child are polite and genteel. I'm no longer Cynn, and I no longer feel the need to be polite in that way. Your words are stronger and they show passion. I'll use them from now on; fuck me hard!

I put a picture in her mind, of all the huge pools of come she left every time we had sex and asked her what she called them. Reah Leah stuck her chin out at me and said, Cimisa, but it doesn't matter what I call it; I have gushed come for you since the first time. I have always gushed for you! Make me do it again, now!

I showed her an image of her bent over in front of me on the bed and pushed thoughts of her passionately begging me to come. She immediately leapt on the bed, burying her face in the pillow. Reah Leah was holding her tail straight up in the air and I knew what she wanted. However, I decided I would tease her that night and enjoy her newfound vocabulary for nights to come. I took her pussy until she gushed twice and knew she was tiring, before I strongly reinforced thoughts of her begging me to be finished. I held myself back, until I knew she was exhausted and her begging became sincere. Then I filled her, until our come dripped between her legs. She tried to hide the sound of her purring, by burying her face in the pillow again, then toppled to her side and fell asleep like a baby. Usually I cleaned away our mess, but that night I left it where it was. She had been drinking Teaselle and I wanted her to know it hadn't been a dream.

    * When I woke, I was so hung over and I wasn't sure whether what I remembered from the previous night was true, until I saw the fur on my thighs caked together. Wesley was still asleep and I transferred into the bath. I remained rubbed raw, even with my healing stone and used great care washing myself. I remembered that Wesley had touched my mind and made me beg him to finish. He had actually pushed me think what he wanted me to think, and do what he wanted me to do. Somehow, I found the idea both terrifying and exciting. In my heart, I knew I would let him do it again whenever he wanted to, if it pertained to sex!

    * The veracity of that statement, it is still a matter of some debate. Reah Leah seldom does anything she hasn't planned to do. Isn't that right, my love?

    * It's not time to talk about that yet, Wesley. When he appeared on the steps to the bath, there was a wide smile on his face and he asked me. Did you get exactly what you wanted last night? I stood from the water, placed my hands on the edge of the bath, and thrust my tits forward, before I smiled back at him. I told him, "It will take you a lifetime to give me everything I want." Wesley strode into the bath and began to run his hand slowly from my knee toward my pussy. I was still so raw, I didn't know whether I could stand his touch and was relieved when I felt the warm glow of his power healing me. He removed his hand after he healed me, dunked under the water, and scrubbed vigorously until he was clean. Wesley walked back to the stairs and turned to look at me, before he said, You are already so spoiled, if I gave you everything you want you would be insufferable! I lunged at him and slapped him on the butt before he could transfer away.

    * I get to tell the story now my loving sister. Reah Leah was so excited to see the bright-red mark when she caught up to him in the bedroom, however, Wesley reminded her of all those who would be waiting at Simons and transferred their clothing on ruining her true intentions. He warned her to arrive outside the inn and they transferred.

Simon had been busy, there were cots set everywhere and along the bar sat several pitchers of fruit juice. The looks on the faces of the lourack, said they still wondered whether he would implant stones in them. Reah Leah grinned at Simon and spoke loudly I hope you have plenty of food Simon, they will be hungry when they wake!

Wesley had watched the uncertainty on their faces, turn to giddy hope when Reah Leah spoke. He transferred a huge pile of stones from Ibex's lair onto the bar and watched the wave of excitement as it spread throughout the inn. He spoke with Reed first and asked him whether he was Venggah to one of the whites. Reed told him that he was Venggah to Tammy and Wesley spoke to his mind. Reed, we both know what our women were, and how much protection they will need now. You'll need more than the stones in your chest now to protect her. Will you let me increase your wielding? Reed spoke back to him sincerely, If you'll increase my wielding, I'll give my life to protect anyone here! Reed reached into his pocket and brought out four stones of his own. A much larger fire stone, power and transfer stones of the same size he already had and a large earth stone.

Wesley took Reed to the first of the cots, and without hesitation, implanted the new stones. Wesley began to implant stones in the others, starting with the tall thin gray he had met the previous night. He asked her name before he began and she replied, Maria, Venggah to Stephen, mother of Mary. Wesley put her to sleep and implanted the stones. Every time he did it, it became easier; it took hardly any energy for him to implant a stone. He looked at the man who had the dagger the night before and motioned for him to lie down on one of the cots. Stephen looked to his child Mary and Wesley knew he was about to decline, when Reah Leah spoke up to say she would watch the child. Stephen needed only a transfer stone and the implantation took just a few seconds. Reah Leah introduced the second of the grays to him as Ada and so it went. Wesley learned each of their names before their implantation. None of the Cynn had children, but they were all Venggah to someone, except one.

Of course, I'm talking about you, you wanton slut!

    * Well you seem to want me often enough, Red!

    * Wesley met: Astrid, Venggah to Marcus; Megan, Venggah to Murray; Amber, Venggah to Olaf; Tammy, Venggah to Reed; Tabitha, Venggah to Orson, and all had gone well until he met Shauna. The woman was quite beautiful—fine then; is beautiful, stop pouting! Her ears were tipped with black, as was her tail. Her tits were very large, but Wesley dreamed of putting his hands around her tiny waist. She was and is, completely without shame! When she lay down, she did more than untie her stada, she lowered it to her waist and looked at Wesley as though he were something to eat. She continued to smile seductively at him, until Reah Leah stood over her and hissed in her face. Then, she began to eye Reah Leah up and down, and fluttered her eyebrows.

Wesley ended the confrontation, by touching Shauna's mind and putting her to sleep. In return, Reah Leah began to eye Shauna's body and reached down to squeeze one of those big tits before she spoke to Wesley. Perhaps, she would be an interesting one to tangle with some time. Reah Leah showed him images of Shauna's face buried between her legs growling loudly, while she pulled Shauna's tail. He had no idea how to respond to that and shrugged. Reah Leah laughed out loud at him and Audrey chuckled quietly from the corner. When he was done, he slid the rest of the transfer and power stones into his pocket and stuck his tongue out at Reah Leah and Audrey. He transferred to the palace, but not before, he heard Simon's roaring laughter.

Wesley arrived at the palace and Jonas embraced him as a brother. Jonas drew the sword Wesley had wielded together the afternoon before, but couldn't manage to speak. His eyes welled with tears and Wesley didn't intend to watch such a stolid man cry. He reached out to the sword he had bought and not worn and transferred it onto his waist. When he drew the sword and held them next to each other, it was obvious the same man had made them. Wesley sheathed the sword and quickly turned to the table, pretending to examine some documents on it.

Jonas joined him at the table after he had recovered his composure and they discussed the inconsistency in the treasury records. When Wesley expressed his desire to meet the people to who so much money had gone, Jonas told him that four of them already lay dead on the palace steps. Jonas also advised Wesley to let them come to him and not meet them on their own ground.

Wesley showed Jonas the difference between the bond and true mind talk, and taught him how to use them. He and Jonas had already developed a mind bond that allowed them to exclude others from their conversation. They had learned to do it, when they thought about women or things that embarrassed them. However, not before Wesley had seen the images in Jonas’s mind of Tina’s tits, bursting from her dress. Jonas laughed it off and asked him, Do you doubt that I'll escort that woman to the next function at this palace?

    * That's enough from you for a while; you’re concentrating too much on the wrong things! Brendon you were always around, please takeover for her.

    * Over the next week, Wesley and Jonas walked and transferred through the streets of New Kent. He watched as everybody on the streets marveled at the site of the Draca overhead. They had visited the seamstress Tina again and he had given her instructions to make several new suits of clothing for himself. She questioned him about the simple style of clothing he wanted, until he arched his eyebrows at her and gave her a stern look. Tina had kept her composure throughout the conversation until Jonas, again bowed at the waist. Her face blushed, a deep red, and it was obvious she had some ideas of her own, about him.

Wesley met vendors from all walks of life, from the richest to the poorest, and saw the disparity between the two classes of people. They produced most things made of steel, or other metals, in lower New Kent and other vendors resold them at highly inflated prices near the palace. He spoke with many tradesmen and farmers in the lower city. Wesley convinced them to form a Trade Council, by promising them he would show them ways to improve their productivity, and create a separate market for sales.

Jonas had shown Wesley the place that would be his bedchamber, when he was at the palace. Wesley inspected every inch of it, found several peepholes and some substance in the bottom of an empty pitcher Jonas identified as poison. After he had filled the peepholes and reinforced the rock behind them, he created a bathroom and toilet in one corner. When he was satisfied the place was safe to sleep in, Wesley stood in the doorway and wove a thick shield of energy around the floor, the walls, and the roof of the room. The guards on duty at the door and Jonas felt the energy he used to form the shield. Jonas asked him whether it was dangerous and Wesley replied, Only to those who would harm me, Jonas! Put your hand on it and see whether it hurts you. Jonas tugged on his jacket and stepped boldly forward. He placed his hand on the shield and sighed when it did nothing. Jonas tried to push his way through the shield, but couldn't. He spoke to Wess’s mind, after the attempt. At least you'll sleep well. Wess replied to him, It isn't there as much for me, as for my Venggah! Then Wess chided him, I'm afraid it's time for some practice, Jonas.

    * I felt my heart drop when Wesley said, practice; he made me practice on everything. I had transferred myself, both short and long distances and moved every conceivable type of substance from one place to another. When we arrived at the banquet hall, Wesley had drawings of every family crest that had ever wielded the slightest power. He asked me to feel what he was going to do and say told me that he would use no wielding. Wesley looked at the floor of the banquet hall and waved his hand toward it. Instantly, there were sixty circles in straight rows. I inspected the first of them and the circle was made of a thin line only deep enough to see. I groaned, as he handed me the stack of the crests.

    * I handed Jonas the stack of family crests, knowing they would keep him busy for some time. As he grumbled, I spoke to one of the ever-present pages and asked him to have the kitchen staff assembled in the banquet hall. Then, I told him to make sure they knew I had no complaints. When enough of the kitchen staff had arrived, I noted the looks on their faces.

I began the conversation by informing them all that I doubled their pay. They still eyed me with some distrust and I continued. I would like a simple dinner to be served in this hall tomorrow night. I don't want you to prepare anything extraordinary, nor do you need to decorate the tables as you would at the seasonal banquet. You won’t be serving the lord wielders at this banquet; you'll be serving landowners and nothing more. In addition, from now on, all staff of this palace will eat the same food; there will be no differentiation between classes. From the highest paid, to the lowest, everyone is to eat the same food, including me! I then transferred a huge pile of silver crowns from the treasury, onto the nearest table and said, Tell the entire staff to take one each, as a bonus for all the years you've been underpaid, while you worked here.

The staff faces had softened when I said everyone was to eat the same food, but the stack of silver crowns frightened them. They remained spellbound, until finally the old herald who announced me at the door, stepped forward and slid one quietly into his pocket. I stepped away from the table to speak with Jonas and watched as everyone present put a silver crown into their pocket. In minutes, staff of every kind started walking past the table, from stable hands to record keepers, each taking a silver crown from the table. When the pile began to grow small, I transferred more crowns on top of it. I continued to replenish the pile of crowns throughout the morning, while Jonas and I embossed the family crests on the circles.

    * I was amazed, in a single step, Wesley turned the entire staff to his favor, and such a simple dinner would speak volumes to the wielders. I was also relieved, when he took at least two-thirds of the stack of family crests and began to etch them into the surface of the circles. I now understood what he had been trying to teach me. It didn't require wielding to make something go away. I asked Wesley. Will the same method work on anything? He replied, "Anything but the energy of the stones themselves, you cannot transfer the stones in someone's chest away, unless you can overcome their strength"

I eagerly watched the line of people coming to take their silver crown grow, until I was sure I would see something that I had been waiting four years to see. The treasurer Horton would have a fit! Wesley already knew of the man's misdeeds, it would prove to be an interesting afternoon. When we finished with the crests, Wesley took a seat behind the high table and began to write something on paper. I was dying to see what he was writing, it was some kind of list, and my curiosity was piqued. When I was no longer able to withstand it, I asked. May I be so bold my King? He groaned audibly and I knew it was because I called him king, but he smiled at me and turned the list so I could read it. I found his writing oddly shaped, but I managed to read the entire list before I began laughing. I said, Please tell me that I'm invited to this banquet. I wouldn't miss the look on their faces for anything. Wesley replied, Jonas, you'll never need an invitation to attend any function at which I'm present! You may consider yourself my right-hand man and, of course, take whatever liberties you need to ensure my safety! And Jonas, the landowners won’t be invited; they will be summoned! Wesley grinned at me and told me I should invite Tina. He had just asked me whether I could put someone in charge of seeing to other details for the banquet, when it happened!

    * I was speaking with Jonas, when a fat overdressed man stormed into the banquet hall. He immediately launched into a tirade, demanding to know what had happened to his coin and began to scream at me about doubling the staff's pay. Before he reached the table, Jonas jumped to his feet and drew the fine sword from its scabbard. He placed the sharp blade against the man's throat and barked at him. Kneel to your King! The fat man slowly slid to his knees and lowered his eyes to the floor. I asked Jonas to introduce us and he said, My King, I introduce to you, Horton the Treasurer. I stood slowly and thumbed through the pages of the treasury accounts before I slammed the huge book down on the table. I forcibly pushed myself into the man's mind and screamed at him. Your coin, by strict definition is not every coin in the treasury mine? I picked up the treasury book, shook it at him. You are guilty of treason and crimes against the people!

I saw the fat man's face turn to anger and watched as Jonas put a little more pressure on the tip of the sword. I spoke out loud and asked Jonas what the penalty for treason was. He replied, Death my King! I then touched his mind and asked. Do you know where this man is from? Jonas sent me an image of a small sleepy town near some seacoast. I turned to face Horton and said, You don't deserve the office you hold. I dismiss you from your duties and you'll never return to New Kent. That's much more lenient than your prior king would have been. I transferred the man naked and penniless, into the center of the small town he had shown me.

Jonas remained connected to me through the bond and he began to laugh so hard he sat on the steps of the dais. I watched as he laughed himself to tears and heard him speak to me through the bond. I'm so happy I got to see that. I have hated the man since Malcolm installed him. The only thing that would have been more satisfying is if you had asked me to take his head! I thought back to him. If he returns to New Kent, I insist that you do! A devilish smile broke out on his face and I thought that, perhaps, Jonas did want the man to return.

    * Well, it would have been fun!

    * Less than an hour later, six of the elite guards who constantly surrounded me burst through the main door with swords drawn. They moved to the front of the dais and took up positions in front of me, watching the door they had come through. One of the men turned to look at Jonas and hissed a single statement. Knights of the church! When they entered, the knights hadn’t drawn their swords yet, but their hands stood at the ready on the hilts. Another man dressed in the same white robes and conical hat of a pope stepped onto the landing. Behind him, stood four more priests, each carrying the same ineffective stones I shattered when I killed the first Pope. The priest said, I would speak with you! He began to make his way up the aisle toward me. I was sure the man had come dangerously close to having Jonas gut him, when he stopped. The man was angry, his face was red, and the veins on
