Herbert (Sherbet) Blundell lived in a sweet shop owned and run by his parents.

Growing up he had lots of school friends, but realized at an early age that the reason he had so many friends, was that he lived in the flat above his dad’s shop.

Every day after school boys would want to walk home with him hoping to be invited in to play, but mainly to stuff their mouths with free sweets. That doesn’t include his best friend David Ian Price who lived on the other side of town, he rarely went anywhere after school during the week, his parents always drove him to and from school: Weekends were the only time the boys could get together, have sleepover’s and watch the comedy channels. Both had the same sense of humour and talked about being comedians when they grow up.
