About this ebook

Kerry Cudmore used to have a terrible relationship with money. A disorganized wallet, piles of unopened bills, and daily calls from angry creditors were indications of just how bad it was. She decided to change things once and for all, redefining her relationship with money, and now helping others do the same in her Spiritual Finance class series.

She has taught the class to hundreds of people since 2008, and now presents the basic Spiritual Finance philosophies in this easy-to-digest bite of a book.

Spiritual Finance:

Creating a New Relationship With Money

My Spiritual Finance journey began more than fifteen years ago. My situation was desperate, my relationship with money was broken beyond recognition, and I was faced with a choice. I could lose everything — my home, my livelihood, my relationships — or figure it out. I chose to figure it out.

The journey has been long, difficult, cathartic, and ultimately transformative. I have now learned enough to share the perspectives, techniques, and tools that I’ve gleaned, gathered, and invented along the way so that others don’t have to navigate the long, twisting path I did. What this amounts to is a series of five classes that I call, comprehensively, Spiritual Finance. The series is designed to help people change their core relationship with money, and I have taught it to hundreds of people since January 2008. This book explores the philosophy and perspectives, along with my own personal experiences, that have informed my creation of Spiritual Finance.

This book is not meant to replace the Spiritual Finance class series, which has value that a book alone could never replicate. It is, however, meant to provide a worthy introduction — a glimpse of what the Spiritual Finance process reveals and a first step on the path to a new relationship with money.

The book has three parts: Exploration, Getting Real, and Moving Forward. Exploration describes and explores the Spiritual Finance perspective, Getting Real defines where you are now in relation to money and traces how you got here, and Moving Forward provides specific information about how to begin your own Spiritual Finance journey.

By design, I’ve kept this book brief and used simple terms. The perspectives within these pages reflect a valuable retooling of how we think about and relate to money. As with any good tool, this is a book to be used again and again. It will work well now, and as you progress in your relationship with money, it will continue to yield value. What you can learn from it on your first reading will be different from what you will be able to learn later on. My hope is that what you read here will offer immediate benefits, while inviting you to visit these pages again in the
