About this ebook

More adventures await The Bear's Song's Little Bear and Papa Bear. When the bears seek warmth from their chilly perch atop the Paris Opera House, Little Bear is mistaken for a toy bear and whisked away . . . to a tropical island! Papa Bear sets out on a frenzied journey to find Little Bear, traveling to a bustling wharf, beneath a sea brimming with coral and mermaids, onto a busy beach, and all the way to a sun-drenched island. As in The Bear's Song, Little Bear is featured in every spread. Will Papa Bear—and the reader— find him? Children and parents alike will savor Chaud's lush, detail-rich illustrations and the sweet story as well as the book's bonus seek-and-find elements.

A papa bear is on a quest to find his baby bear after hibernation. They go on a train, cruise ship, and island. While dancing, papa find baby bear and they dance into the night. Great picture book with wonderful illustrations! even younger kids will be interesting in the novel.

Picking up just where the previous title, The Bear's Song, left off, as Papa Bear and Little Bear attempt to snooze on the roof of the city opera house, this entertaining tale follows the ursine duo on a madcap adventure to a tropical island. After Little Bear is mistaken for a stuffed animal, and taken by a young human boy, Papa Bear must once again search for his wayward son, traversing urban environments, cruise ships, and underwater ecosystems in his quest. Eventually the two are reunited, deciding to spend their winter on the beach...Originally published in France as Coquillages et petit ours, this over-sized picture-book boasts the same combination of entertaining story and intensely detailed and beautiful illustrations as its predecessor. Young children will enjoy following along as Papa Bear attempts (once again!) to track down his son, and will have fun searching each two-page spread for Little Bear, just as his father does. I have seen these Papa/Little Bear books compared to both Richard Scarry, as it concerns the detailed artwork, and the "Where's Waldo?" titles, with their search-and-find format, and I think the comparison is apt. Recommended to anyone who enjoyed the first book about Papa Bear and Little Bear, and to anyone who likes hunt-and-find stories.

When a small boy mistakes Little Bear for a stuffed animal, he takes him with him on his trip; however, Papa Bear is close behind in the quest for his child. Your little one can join in the fun by trying to spot Little Bear amongst the crowds of the city, the revelers on the sea, and the dancers on the sea shore. Fun details in the art are sure to stimulate any child's imagination. Intended for ages 3 - 5.
