    Foreword

    I want to start off by saying that I’m not a chef. I’ve never been to Culinary School. I started out as a short-order cook at BW3, now Buffalo Wild Wings, when I lived in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. I joined the Air Force in 1996, and ended up as a cook. I worked in kitchens for most of the first ten years I was in the service. Whether I was in the kitchen, working as Quality Assurance, or ordering subsistence, I loved my time in the back of the house. In 2007, I transferred into the Air Force Reserves, and began working full time as an Assistant Manager at the California Pizza Kitchen in The Mirage Las Vegas. After a short time I was promoted to General Manager of the Caribe Café in The Mirage. After a year there, I was hired on as the Assistant General Manager of The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas. I was there a little over a year, when I re-entered the active duty Air Force, and left Las Vegas, and rejoined the service as a Recruiter. I no longer worked in the kitchen, but I still pursued my love of cooking at home.

    Growing up, my grandma, Jenny, showed her love through food. You always knew that when you went to Grandma’s house, there’d be food in the fridge and cookies in the cupboard. I like to think I learned this trait from my grandmother. I love to feed people. Whether at a party, during the holiday’s, or just through regular meals at my house, I love
