James is an Assistant Professor in the English Language Program at J. F. Oberlin University in Tokyo. He has been teaching English for over fifteen years and has taught in a range of contexts including junior high school, high school, and university.James’ research areas of interest include vocabulary acquisition, the use of technology in the classroom, and extensive reading. He has presented on these topics both in Japan and internationally.James is an avid reader of 19th century European literature, and loves a long and complex sentence. However, he fights strong urges and restricts himself to Atama-ii’s word limit of 100 words per page in his first title for the series, The Lost Cup.
