Sisi carried Mimi on her laps and smiled softly. The pastors looked first at her, and then at the tot. She knew what was going on in their minds. Who owns this? She decided to meet their gazes one after the other, five of them altogether; with an easy smile though inside her stomach were tiny knots of nerve that seemed to be there to stay. A lady she had seen minister in church several times, one of the pastors, blurted out unethically.

They both looked up at him and instead of a greeting, he rubbed his face self-consciously and chuckled, I need a shave badly, I know.

The two ladies had laughed, indulged him, and from that day, they had become friends and then, intimate.
