There was once a penguin who had a peculiar pair of boots. Tremendous boots, I would say. Those kind of boots that, when you see them, make you wish you were a cowboy. Leather, brown with yellow stars and some nice buckles. Long, up to the knees. Peculiar, but simple.
This is the story of Mr. Penguin and his very special boots!

Praise for Gabriel Drexler:
"The idea of this book is a good one - you have a short story that is written in Spanish and in English and the different languages are laced in between one another...I really like this idea since it allows you to quickly compare and contrast the two languages and easily correct yourself."
"I will re-read this many times. It is a great way to reinforce Spanish expressions compared to English."
"The story is entertaining, and the use of Spanish juxtaposed with English makes language learning easier, since my main reason for purchasing this book was to improve my Spanish skills."

The Penguin's Boots/ Botas del pingüino (English/Spanish Dual Language Book) - Gabriel Drexler
There was once a penguin who had a peculiar pair of boots. Tremendous boots, I would say. Those kind of boots that, when you see them, make you wish you were a cowboy. Leather, brown with yellow stars and some nice buckles. Long, up to the knees. Peculiar, but simple. Tremendous boots, I’d say.
Everybody was always complimenting Mr. Penguin for his good taste in boots. This particular pair of boots were simply MARVELOUS. They were made from the most genuine and comfortable leather that one could imagine. With elegant pull straps at each side and fancy heel caps that would make the perfect tap-tap-tap when you walk. A tap here, a tap there. They would make everyone dance.
¡Ese Rodríguez de verdad que era tremendo!
That Rodriguez was really so tremendous!
When he went to parties, all of the girl penguins would always get close to him and sigh for him. Anyone would think how lucky he was, thanks to that particular pair of boots. The peculiar boots were good. Let’s remember that clothes and accessories are not what makes someone shine. But the way of speaking and the pure handsomeness in the eyes. Neat nails and well-cut, and of course, running a comb through the hair. That’s all it takes.
This was the case of Tremendous Rodriguez. And how tremendous he was! A tremendous penguin that everybody could trust. Here comes the Tremendous Rodriguez, everyone used to shout!
Everybody likes the Tremendous Rodriguez. He was a good penguin.

Tan feliz y bien portado. Al fin las había encontrado. Las que tanto había soñado.
The day Penguin Rodriguez bought his boots was a day no one will ever forget. Not in a million years will anyone stop remembering it. He was so excited. So happy and well behaved. He had finally found them. The ones he had dreamed of.
Penguin Rodriguez went to the boot store. He saw them behind the counter. What tremendous boots they had! Everybody knows where to go when they need boots. One must go to The Tremendous Boots Store
