      Why a gallery as opposed to a store? What's the difference?

      This article will help you understand the difference between galleries, boutiques and stores and give you a detailed how to for getting ready to sell your work.

      Though my primary focus will be on galleries, this information can be applied to all three venues.

      How do I begin selling my work?

      Getting started can be difficult. Often the artist begins by sharing her work with family and friends. Sometimes selling begins at local church gatherings or at group Christmas hand-craft shows organized by retirement communities.
