This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to prepare the most delicious Mediterranean meals Paleo Style!
The Mediterranean style of eating has long been heralded as one of the healthiest ways to eat. Lean proteins, lots of seafood and veggies, breads, balsamic and olive oil are all characteristic hallmarks of this diet, not to mention the generous lashings of wine that traditionally accompany each meal. Red meat is kept to a minimum with a bigger focus on chicken dishes, but mostly fish and seafood take center stage. Research has shown that people who follow this high fiber, low fat way of eating can enjoy huge health benefits.
The people of the Mediterranean are generally incredibly healthy, have fewer heart complaints, less aches and pains in the muscles and joints, better brain function, lower cholesterol and better control over their weight. In addition, people who follow this way of eating have longer life expectancy and lower rates of chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s, cancer and Parkinson’s when compared with people who do not. This is an incredibly healthy way to eat and one that can be enjoyed by the whole family...
BUT...
A big part of this diet is whole grains and low fat dairy, which are the two big paleo taboos. So how on earth do we go about merging these diets successfully without losing the gist of the Mediterranean style of having to be lenient or altogether dismissive of Paleo principles? Well let me tell you, it can be done!
