Reviews for Crystal Meth Addiction

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book very easy to read and short and simple to understand just great information on the substance itself and then walks you through on a way of recovery by doing it yourself I would love to thank the author for this very well-researched book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Concise, positive, insightful and informative presentation of material that lies therein
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5As a meth addict who is determined to leave this drug behind me, I did not find this information accurate nor helpful. This reads like something from a D.A.R.E. or other government-issued pamphlet, with skewed statistics and biased, pretentious, and misinformed descriptions of the drug and the addiction symptoms. I have been injecting the drug daily for three years, yet I still have all my teeth, I maintain a healthy weight, have NEVER had a majority of the overblown symptoms like violent outbursts or "bugs crawling on me" sensations. I took a certified I.Q. test two weeks ago and scored higher (141) than I did in high school (137). I'm 42 years old. I am an exception to the rule of course, as I do know several people who are completely ruined by the drug. I think it all comes down to how much self-esteem one has during addiction that determines the outcome. Oh, and whoever edited this book needs to give the poor author his money back. The grammar and spelling had me regularly shaking my head in disgust, and there are an unforgivable number of careless typos. Come on, y'all. Not all "speed freaks" are backwoods retards.
This is a dangerous, harmful, and terrible drug that DOES ruin lives and DOES ruin minds and bodies. But this book really should be taken off the shelves. I get it, "just trying to help" is awesome, but I am now seriously considering writing my own book if this is what is out there to help people like me. ?1 person found this helpful
