INTRODUCTION

I wrote Write a Book Fast: An Indie Author Guide for Writing Nonfiction Books in 30 Days—or Less! to help indie authors increase their writing speed so they can produce valuable content in less time without sacrificing quality – and make more moola!
What the Rush?
Let’s face it. We live in a microwave society. People want what they want – yesterday! Also, we’re busier than ever. We have so much on our plates that it seems we don’t have enough hours in the day to get things done. Obviously, we won’t get additional hours, but what we can do is make the most out of the time we have by working more efficiently. And this is especially true for writers.
Goldmine of Opportunity
The Internet has opened the floodgate of opportunity for writers, especially indie authors. Print on demand services and self-publishing platforms like Amazon’s CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing and Kindle Unlimited have helped new and struggling authors become well-paid wordsmiths. The popularity of eReaders like Kindle is evidence that readers of nonfiction and fiction have an insatiable appetite for books. The ease of downloading books to computers, eReaders and mobile device also shows readers want books delivered to them quick and often.
Among the most successful self-published authors are those who publish books at least once a month. And fast writing is essential for maintaining that level of consistency. If you’re not getting your content out there, and getting it out there often, then you are missing out on a goldmine.
My Struggle
I self-published my first book in 2007. It was difficult to complete, but I did it. The problem is I finished it in seven freakin’ years. To make matters worse the damn book is only 70 pages! I suffered from self-doubt, lack of focus and a lack of planning on how to write a book. I also struggled with jumping from one book project to another. I was a bad-ass at starting books but a slacker when it came to finishing them. For all my time, energy and effort all I had to show for it was a slush pile of unfinished books, novels and short stories.
As an aspiring indie author, there is no way I can build a thriving publishing empire spending years, or even months, working on one book (or worse yet, not finishing any books).
I had to do something different. After some serious introspection and a write or die
attitude, I finally cracked the code. I created a no hassle, stress free
speed writing system.
I put my system to the test and the result...
I wrote this book in 30 days!
In this book I share with you the tips and techniques I used for increasing my writing speed and boosting my productivity. It worked for me, and I know it can work for you.
You Can Do It
You have the talent. You have the desire—or you wouldn’t be reading this book. As long as you have the will to work smarter, you’ll crank out quality books (as well as articles, blog posts
