    And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, 'Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?' So they said to him, 'We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.' And he said to them, into what then were you baptized?' So they said, 'Into John's baptism.' Then Paul said, 'John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.' When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke

    with tongues and prophesied" (Acts 19:1-7).

    The purpose of this book is not to teach a doctrine, but to stir your heart into a greater dimension of spiritual manifestation. The baptism of the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of speaking in tongues is given to all believers. If you don't have the gift of speaking in tongues yet, I want to create in you the desire to speak in tongues. If you do have it I want to stir you up to use it more often. But if you already have received the gift and speaks in tongues more often, I want to encourage you to maintain it and possibly increase your frequency of speaking in tongues.

    The benefits of speaking in tongues are immense and the wonders are bewildering.

    "The one who prays using a private prayer language certainly gets a lot out of it ..." 1Cor 1 4.4-5 (The Message Bible).

    Speaking in tongues is one of the surest signs distinguishing the old Testament believers from the New Testament believers.

    "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 1 6:17 -1 8) Speaking with new tongues according to Jesus' word in Mark 16 verse 17 is a sign that marks the New Testament Church. The Church was launched with the gift of speaking in tongues at the Upper Room in Acts of the Apostles.

    "When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it fulled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
