Preface
As I mentioned in my brief acknowledgement, I have been writing for many years, 19 of which I have been a professional freelancer and published author. Over the years, I have come to appreciate quality writing craft. While I love and revel in the freedom we now have to publish independently (I have done it many times), it is a bit troubling to experience some of the horribly written content that has flooded the marketplace.
Thus, I thought to make my contribution to the conversation. Somehow we writers, whether we are seasoned professionals with big publishing houses or new fledgling writers with a burning story we’d like to share, need to demand quality in literature over quantity. We must not add to the overwhelming amount of rubbish being sold through our favorite distribution channels, so people without a love and commitment for our craft can turn a quick buck. While everybody has a story, everybody is not an author.
