      GENESIS

      Genesis 20: 17,18

      So Abraham prayed unto God: and God HEALED Abimelech,and his wife, and his maid-servant; and they bare children. For the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimeleck, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

      Abraham deceived Abimelech by saying Sarah was his sister, and not his wife. Abraham did this because he was fearful and thought they were in a godless place. Because his wife was beautiful Abraham reasoned Abimeleck would kill him to take his wife.

      When it became clear to Abimeleck what Abraham had done, he then confronted Abraham.

      EXODUS

      Exodus 15:26

      And said, if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that HEALETH thee.

      When the people arrived at Marah they found the water to be bitter and undrinkable. The people rebelled and turned their anger against Abraham. Abraham turned to God and was showed a tree that was to be put into the water to purify it. The anger of God was steady rising against the people because of their bickering and unbelief.

      Exodus 21:19

      If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly HEALED.

      If two men get into a fight and one of them is severely injured and needs time to recuperate, then the other man will be held responsible for medical expenses and loss of time until he is well again.
