Entrepreneur, innovator, leader, and inventor—business mogul Steve Jobs was many things, but he will be remembered above all else for the undeniable part he played in revolutionizing the tech industry as a whole. The late CEO of Apple left behind a legacy of cutting-edge technology that many couldn’t imagine living without today. Between the iPod, iPhone, iTunes, iCloud, iMac, and Macbook, the ways in which we use electronic devices have undoubtedly changed forever, in large part because of the innovations of Apple—and it stands to reason that we could learn a thing or two from the man behind all of these creations.
It’s difficult to put a label on an individual like Steve Jobs, but perhaps the best word to describe him is unique.
He was known to be passionate, eccentric, brutally honest, uncompromising, and at times decidedly erratic. He also possessed a genius like no other. His life was not uncomplicated, and alongside the incredible highs he was well known for, he experienced some extreme lows—including famously being ousted from his own company.
With each endeavor that he undertook, Jobs learned valuable lessons that helped shape the rest of his career—and the technology industry. From these lessons we
