    Preface

    This brief paper will discuss the concepts of wellness and wholeness of the person as it pertains to the practice of modern medicine. I will present a paradigm of treating medical and psychiatric illness that relies on the inherent wholeness of the individual as well as the innate capacity for healing, both of which are our birthright as human beings. Hopefully the concepts discussed will be self-evident as stemming from our original nature. These concepts are not to be taken as something additional that has been added to our original nature, which already exists in its own completeness.
