    One thing that I have struggled with my entire life is my weight. I have spent years going back and forth with my weight. I work off so much and then end up putting it back, it seriously seemed like it was going to be a lifelong battle. Perhaps the biggest reason that I struggled so much with my weight is because of how much I love desserts. I won’t lie to you, dessert is my favorite meal.

    Curbing my sweet tooth was a huge challenge for me. And every diet that I have tried required me to curb my sweet tooth. During the beginning of the various diets it was easy to turn away sweets, but the longer the diet went on the harder it became to say no. Eventually, I had enough and would toss the entire diet out the window and give into my cravings. And we all know how that ends, the weight simply goes right back on.

    After struggling with various diets for years I knew that I had to make some permanent lifestyle changes. I knew I couldn’t deny my sweet tooth, but I knew I had to make some healthier choices. Over the past few years, I had seen the most success with my weight loss when I followed a low carb lifestyle, but low carb diets are not very dessert friendly. And it was from that realization that I decided to tweak some of my favorite dessert recipes to turn them low carb.

    When I first made the switch to a low carb diet, I assumed that meant I had to give up all of my favorite treats. After all most baking recipes I knew and loved involved flour and sugar, two of the biggest concerns with low carb dieting.
