Neil Hilborn

Neil Hilborn is a College National Poetry Slam champion and a 2011 graduate with honors from Macalester College. In 2013, his poems "OCD" and "The Future" went viral, garnering over 125 million combined views to date, making them among the most-viewed poems of all time. He has performed in 39 states and 7 countries, and in 2017 alone he traveled more than 50,000 miles to perform his poetry. Originally from Houston, Texas, he now lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Future is Neil’s second full-length poetry collection.

    an amazing collection of poetry - felt like I'd been punched in the solar plexus a few times throughout less than one hundred pages.

    Neil Hilborn is such an amazing poet. His writing is a manic episode of joy and misery and talking and I love getting swept away in it, maybe because it isn't my feelings, even though I feel them anyway (I have BPD, which is bi-polar's slutty sister). His poetry is what really introduced me to the Button Poets, and he's still my absolute favorite.

    I love the metaphors in here.
    Especially the one about erasing people like bad lines of poetry, like your a big red pen.
