- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5There are a couple reasons why I liked this book. One reason is because the illustrations in the book are amazing. There is so much color and detail in the illustrations. The illustrator also drew pictures in different perspectives which makes livens up the illustrations. For example, on page a couple children are walking in the snow and behind them you can see other children sledding clearly. Everyone in this illustration is on different horizontal lines. The second thing I liked about this book is how information is presented. Every page starts off with, "Look! I spy a ..." This first sentences introduces the topic. The next page gives a statement and then a fact. For example, "Look! I spy a tiny bud on a branch. Spring days last longer. Sunshine warms the buds. Rain falls on the ground. Water creeps up from the roots to the trunk to the branches." The main idea of this book is to talk about the different seasons and describe things that happen during those seasons. Facts about those seasons are listed throughout the book.
