Do you want to save money? Stop spending money.
We are a menace! When we have bills in our hand ... and this is a regrettable reality, even if we look for the excuses to deny it. This is very common when we aim at saving money, but we commonly excuse ourselves saying that our earnings are insufficient to do it, for that reason, if we would like to increase our savings capacity we should try to avoid going to the cash machine very frequently, I`ll tell you why.
If our aim is to save, we should do the best possible to keep our money in our banking accounts for as long as we can. Why this is important? the answer is quite easy, thus you may control your expenses, all is best organized and in order. Statistics show that we go to the cash machine more than once a week, nevertheless, this frequency is decreasing compared to previous years.
Tips to avoid the end of cash.
You must have well stipulated the amount of cash you need, we always require the cash for something in particular that makes us move to the cashier machine (ATM), a secret is not to deviate from that goal. Do not spend that money that you have for one thing in another, sometimes with no importance. Although we do not control the bills a cashier gives, the smaller ones are easiest to handle, they have special advantages
, we will detail them later.
Cash money: Fair enough.
Let's cash out of our bank account what we just need, beyond the benefit to the savings that this action implies, is also the fact that taking little cash, especially low-denomination bills, will avoid many problems, including:
We're not making any sudden purchases. If we have the money already compromised for a special expense, it will be more difficult for us to spend on something that appears along the way. Even if you find it difficult, this will be an effective method of cost control.
Less money, less loss. If we have a smaller amount of money in our pocket, we run less risk of losing a lot, there can be many variables that intervene in losing a certain amount of money, either by loss or theft.
When it is useful to have cash money.
If within our budget is a superfluous expense, it is key to have the money we spend in cash, this will help us to keep spending on the amount we have stipulated. If we leave to pay that expense with credit or debit cards, we will most likely surpass the budgeted.
The fact that we do not want to spend does not mean that we have to avoid the emergence of an unforeseen expense, for that purpose take into account the following procedure:
Design your expenses, try to be as specific as possible, considering the largest number of items and assigning each one an amount closest to reality.
Establish which of those expenses must be paid in cash, and where it is more practical the payment in this way, instead of using cards or electronic transactions.
Allocate 15% or 20% of your income for contingencies. This does not mean that if there were no unforeseen expenses you will have the freedom to spend that money, the deal is that at the end of the month, if there was no unnoticed expense, that money goes to the savings fund.
Saves the receipts of money transactions.
Although they are very easy to lose, the receipts of transactions, payments and cash withdrawals must be saved and contrasted with the results of the bank movements consultations. Ideally, this matching is done at least once a week or if not once every month. The ideal is to do it in short periods of time, because you will have your memory as an alley, less transactions to review and fewer documents to protect.
After all the above approach, we reiterate the need to have only the cash you really need, to know in depth the movements of your bank accounts and clearly establish your spending budget, where saving money should not be lacking. If these procedures become a habit in your life, you will see the results very soon.
Effective ways of saving.
You may be going through a difficult financial situation right now, forcing you to make important decisions to benefit your savings, and dispense with some elective expenses. We are going to give you some
